A new pet/another pet? Help please.

<p>Hi all , Im till very new to the game and this is my first class. I have been doing a lot of reading on the class but cant seem to find something about this.</p><p>Im level 11 and still have the first pet you get (the Bat). Through my reading I have learned we get Tank pets , Mage pets and healer pets. I am assuming the Bat is a tank pet but how do i get others? I have seen Necros as early as level 12 have different kinds of pets.</p><p>So , I guess im asking how do i get other pets to play? Sorry if this is a really stupid question and maybe the answer is right in front of my face but cant see it. Oh , also I have upgraded my spell summon minion thinking this would do it but it didnt , actually I dont think the spell upgrade (Apprentice 2) did anything.</p><p>Thanks for any help!</p>

I'm not sure when you get the spider, but I think it's at 12... I'm pretty sure you get the apprentice 1 versions of all spells as you level (until 50, that is...).

<p>The L1 bat is a tank pet. </p><p>The L12 spider is also a tank pet.</p><p>At L20, you get a zombie mage pet. </p><p>At L24, you get another tank pet (forgot which one this is). </p><p>At L32, you get your first scout pet (blackened thing).</p><p>At L34, you get your second mage pet (awesome fire/plasma lich).</p><p>From that point on, every 14 levels, you get a replacement tank, mage or scout pet. The exception to this is in T8 where the new 10 level spell system takes effect. Scout (L73) Mage (L75) Tank (L77).</p><p>They give you these pets in an order of initial need. Once you have all 3, they become situational use.</p>

Upgrading your pet spell makes your pet better.  His nukes hit harder, his melee attacks hit harder, he's just tougher.In general, you'll want to try to get your pets to at least adept 1, preferably adept 3 (especially your tank pet).Easiest way to do this is to harvest, harvest, harvest.  Sell everything you harvest using the broker, and keep any spell rares (silver, palladium, vanadium, rhodium, *something*, acrylia) and find a sage to make your adept 3's.
