Best "saver" class?

I was wondering what everyone thinks the best class is for saving people.I mean you turn a corner and see a fellow player of your alignment losing a fight and you decide to save them.Maybe save them by killing their opponent or by just stopping their opponent or by healing them HOWEVER its done which class is overall BEST at "saving".Rez doesnt count as saving either since if they die technically you didnt save them imo.

i'd say every class that can either hit very hard or heal.shadowknight (can taunt off too)assassin (hurt if not seen)wizzie (ouch)warden, templar, inquisitor, fury, defiler, mystic (heals & wards)assasin has quite a bonus here cos he as track so he can actually notice that someone needs a save easier <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

fury and wardens imo, but if i see two people figthing i just sit and wait, but thats just me. 2 on 1  thats whyen i jump in. shrug maybe i am to old fashion

Best Saving Class? Guardian. Hands down. Taunt off the entire group, hit some temp buffs, 12 second all-parry, Tower of Stone, Stone Sphere, Reinforcement... easily 30 seconds of survivability while everyone beats the guardian and the other guy can get back into the fray. Absolutely guardian! For all the reasons Rob mentioned. Don't expect to solo the whole group though! Second being Pally for similar reasons and heals. There is something awesome about fighting a losing battle and then having a volley of friendly arrows from a stealthed Ranger save you from certain death! Been on both sides of that one =)
