View Full Version : Getting Aggro from Charmed Pet's NPC Enemies?

I came across something weird in Zek last night. It's my first time there with my Coercer and I decided to tour around to look for mage mobs to use during my stay. I thought the Orc Runesmith might be a good choice, turns out not to be a mage, but after charming it, all the fairies in the same area started to attack me. Both sets of mobs can be found patrolling and attacking each other by the druid rings at Zek. Is this a bug or just an oddity for this particular set of mobs in this zone?

The best pets in Zek imo are the sirens. I think the Thaumaturge (sp) was the best one, but even the templar was decent. There is a coercer or illy one too, but thats a bit redundant (ok in pvp though).

I know that wasn't the question you asked but I thought it would be helpful to you anyway.

I'll visit that island when I get back on with my Coercer. I'm finding all sorts of strange oddities sometimes when I charm a mob. Back in Nek Forest I decided to test out the river Leachs. Even though it was my pet, it would still curse me and the mob it was attacking. Go figure.

the fairies in question always attack the runesmiths. There's a quest in the zek questline, to kill the deathfist runesmiths, and you pretty much have to clear the area of fairies to get a crack at them. Otherwise they will make a beeline to the orc's and start attacking them. So no bug, you just made a bad choice. When they started attacking your pet due to the zone script, you were attacked, because you were its 'friend'. You might stop and watch them every now and then, and you'll see the runesmith's and the fairies fight on a pretty much constant basis.
