Sorry if you know this already, but I certainly didn't.

There are now some tinkered goggles that give non-erudites Aura Sense - great for when you first enter a zone and you're trying to work out which mobs are the casters.

Btw, the item currently has a description of leather armor, but that's wrong - it should read cloth.

http://eq2.eqtraders.com/items/show....php?item=27079

Too bad it's a L.65 item. By that time I would imagine most Coercers would have a good eye at picking out mage type mobs.

My strategy, when I enter a new zone is to run around an root random mobs, that look like caster. If the mob starts casting and I receive considerable damage, I will charm this type of mob. I also think, that the goggles are almost worthless due to the level restriction. Maybe we should feedback that they are set to level 1 or 10. Then they would be worth it!

And you can get some kind of nightvision by level 11 (If I remember correctly.), but you need to be Level 65 to use a Totem for Aura Sense. These are two totally different Level ranges for similar effects!I don't want all T7 / T8 Abilities. I even think, that tracking Items made by Tinkerers should at least require a Tinkerer Skill > 200. (I don't have a Tinkerer) I just think Items of equal usability should be in the same level range.

So I made these goggles and I've got to say, I used them once and just put them away because I'm so used to living without them that it's a bigger pain for me to have to click two hotkeys because I pretty much realize what I'm charming.

Nothing against the item though, it's a great addition! I'm sure that boat loads of people will use them and hopefully it'll stop the "What pet should I get?" threads (at least for higher levels).
