I wasn't going to bother doing these but a provisioner linked some food and drink that was really nice. I am curious what the other professions get and where to do the faction to acquire the recipes. Thanks

While we're on the subject of Kunark Faction and recipes I have a question. Are the 70 - 79 recipe books No-Drop/No-Trade? Or can I get faction with one of my characters and buy all my other crafters their books?

Thanks.

The faction recipe books, at least the ones that I have seen, are NoTrade.

OMG! No-Trade So if you have a low adventure level/high crafter level character (i.e. adv. lvl 10 monk/craft lvl 70 armor) how do you get faction? Are the faction quests something that a low level can accomplish?

Thanks for any input. I just recently returned to the game and been so busy re-learning to play I haven't had a chance to explore Rise of Kunark.

Characters with adventurer levels not high enough to get regular quests that award faction are pretty much limited to grinding out writs. Of the faction recipes I've seen, only 10K faction is required and writs usually have a 750 faction point reward. The problem is that you start with negative faction, sometimes way negative like -30K, so it can be a long grind. You will need to bring your own fuel with you until you can earn enough faction to buy it from merchants there but, even so, they charge more (+10-20%?)

To answer the OP, the only special faction recipes that I have seen are for Provisoners unless you count the writ recipes but those are unusable items and the recipes vanish after you complete the writ.

You need crafting level 75 to get the tradeskill writs. You need to take fel with you or get someone to carry it in for you.The biggest problem for low level adventurers is getting to the areas to get started. All quests are do-able at low level without being killed, however it will mean standing about and watching the mobs movement patterns and sprinting when they are far enough away.

There is a good writeup on RoK Tradeskills over on EQ2Traders

http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/a...hp?article=g203

That one also has links to guides for the main quests involved in getting non-Kos with the writ giver factions. Also once you reach Apprehensive faction (-10000 to -19999) the vendors will sell you fuels so that makes things easier for you.

One of the things Domino is working on is adding special tradeskill faction rewards for the other non-Provisioner classes so even if you do get your advanced books from the broker you still might want to consider doing some faction work.

Bathezid and Riliss you get the quest at crafting level 70.

For example even at max faction with Teren's Grasp, they still charge 20 or 40% more than fuel in cities costs.
