I currently have a 62 paladin which i am considering betraying to a Shadowknight. I'm mainly interested in their tanking and ability to hold aggro. I know they don't have anything close to amends but idk. I run with a heavy mage group (4) so amends is a god send. sometimes I still lose aggro but things die so fast half the time it rarely matters lol. I dont know SK's just seem a lot more enjoyable and mage friendly. deathmarch looks awesome as do all the cool ae life taps and  disease debuffs look really fun. What should I do! =( I need more pros/cons on pally vs sk's help!

The pro is that you're now a SK. The con is now you have no excuse to suck. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

I hear a lot about people wanting to betray that late in their character's career, but I really don't support those kinds of decisions unless you really just don't like the class you're playing anymore. If you find that being paladin really isn't what it used to be and you just can't bring yourself to play them anymore, then betraying should become an option. Learning a whole new class that late in the game is not easy. There's no instantaneous "not suck" button anymore. If you betray, you'll have to dump a lot of work into your character just to be halfway decent. You'll have to dump your wisdom gear for intel gear, get a whole new set of spells (even adept 1's can be pricey when you're buying that many of them all at once), and learn just how much differently we play versus pallys. It's a long and hard road to take on a whim, so don't betray just to "see if it's better". Betray because you think that being a paladin is no fun anymore and you don't care what it'll take to try to get that fun back.
