I am a little confused on priorities here.

Am I correct in saying that :

Str affects melee hit impact, or DPS;

agility affects how often you hit in melee

and how often you can avoid;

Wisdom affects power pool plus resistances;

Int affects spell impact and hence, DPS.

I am level 37 with stats: str 102 agil 81 sta 173 wis 140 int 96

my hps are 2931 and my power is 1448.

The only time i die is when i run out of power and so IMO I should

be going for wisdom in the kunark induced respec instead of the

usual int.

As I only play this char on occasions can some SK expert give

me some idea as what to do here?

Hmm, I could have sworn Str and Int were our main stats as far as damage (DPS) and power pool. Wis for us is only good for resists which are alright, but not anything I'd specifically look for. Agi does help with avoidance, but ours is usually pretty low anyway since it's a teritary stat next to Str and Int.

As far as stat priority, for me it's always been INT first, then STR, STA, AGI, then WIS.

Thank you for the reply although now I am more confused than ever

The confusion for myself was possibly based upon the premise that a paladin's manapool was a lesser subdivision of the priestly pool which is itself a direct function of wisdom.

A SK being simply an"evil" paladin I would have expected to be the same with the size of

the power pool being a function of wisdom.

When my char was first started(server start one) this was my impression although whether

it was true or not or whether it was because I was influenced by D&D, I dont know.

I was away from EQ2 for near 2 yrs and when I returned I also heard that the size of the pool

was still dependent upon wisdom but that the capacity for criticals and the damage done was

now a function of intelligence.

Can someone please clear this up as if you are correct i will have to dump all of my wisdom gear.

You dont need anyone here to "clear" it up for you. Hit
to bring up your personae, hover the pointer over each stat and it will tell you what it does for THAT character. Problem solved

On a side note.. we are NOT evil paladins. We are Shadowknights..... the rumor we are the "evil" twin of the pally was started to ease the jealousy they feel for us. Those that dont have the inner strength and drive to complete the SK academy drop out and goto necromancer school. Those that dont have the intelligent to complete necro training pack thier bags and move to Qeynos to become pallys. Thats only connection between us.

Thank you for that.

I must admit to never noticing it before(obviously).

So its Int + Str with a ratio of what? 2 to 1 I would expect.

Ahh well it sure clears up my doubts sbout what to do with my

selections.

It was STR/WIS long time but they've changed that to STR/INT when EoF came out.

So now WIS is the most useless stat of all, it only gives small resists and thats it.

Most important is INT,STR,STA.

Agi also doesn't helps with how good you hit, it only gives you better avoidance.

And .. don't put AA-points into a tree just to boost your stats, that are wasted points. Go 4/4/8 INT and then reaver first
