Been testing this for little bit now after the change, doing various situations to see how this worked. Found the power works well if someone has agro i then take theirs. However i did find something interesting that im hoping is a bug, either that or they need to reword sleight of hand. When i take top hate and try transfering to a tank, i just seem to eat their agro and never transfer mine. I have tried this numerous times making sure i had a lot of hate, tank would hit mob once or twice, then i would use sleight of hand on the tank with him targetting mob as it says to do and nothing would happen, the mob would continue to attack me. Then noticed that after doing this the tank had more trouble getting the mob off me than usuall as it appears i do in fact take his agro, but the transfer of my agro never happens

Devs please take a look at sleight of hand again, it appears swash are not sending out our agro in the trade only eating other peoples.

If anyone has come accross testing where what i said is false, please let me know so i can find how to use this power for other than me taking all agro.

I haven't noticed that, I've actually gotten it to work where I get aggro and target the tank and it swaps. It could just coincidence though that the tank was close enough to me as it was and was able to taunt it off, or just used rescue or something. I haven't used it enough to probably validate it, but i'll start testing it out with a tank and see what happens.

I hate this skill. It is basically worthless. For it to be useful to get aggro to the tank, you need to be on the top of the hate list, the tank needs to target the mob, and then you need to cast it. So, in a raid environment I have aggro, I hit my macro that casts sleight and NOTHING happens. Well, maybe the tank wasn't targeting the mob, or maybe the skill didn't work. It cast. I watched it. So the next time I get aggro I target the tank, yep, he has the proper implied target, I hit sleight. Well, the tank gets aggro about half way through the cast and I get the mob back. With the swash detaunt proc, it is very rare that i HOLD aggro for very long. I suppose I could turn off avoid and run myself up the hate list to intentionally be on top to send it back to the tank. All in all though, I applaud the devs for a creative idea, but it really has very little use in 99.9% of the game. TBH, I'd rather have a damage ability. Maybe a short duration 100% hurricane or something. I dunno. It wouldn't be fun or creative, but it'd be usefull to ALL swashies out there. As it stands now there are some possible solutions.

Make it instant cast.

Make the taunt before the switch a +/-hate position variety.

Make it automatically work so that when I cast it on the tank.. it affect everything targeting me or when I do it on a squishy it makes it work on everything targetting them.

Get rid of the jester's cap immunity or drastically reduce it. Because of the flakyness of the skill it is unreasonable to have such a long immunity.

So far the best use I've found for it is repositioning mobs. This sorta goes hand in hand with the 'saving squishies' idea, but I like to stack mobs. It's difficult for a tank to position multiple mobs on top of each other, but it's easy for me to move just one of them at a time. The problem here is, someone has to be targetting the mob I want to move, I can't just do it myself. This is why I don't like this skill. Another interesting use I didn't think of until I was fighting the segmented rumbler (lol) - I can steal someone's mob from 54 meters, instantly.. the mob just appears to memwipe and run right at me. If I get aggro the old fashioned way and move fast, the mob will sorta ignore me and go back to someone closer, rather than chase me. The problem here is, again, the person at the top of the hate list has to be targetting the right mob, which is misleading: you target the mob, use SoH on the mob's target, but your ally's target is another mob, and that mob runs at you. Maybe that was the named mob that just ran at you and AoE'd the entire raid. This is why I don't like this skill.

First off, I'd like to point out that I post very little (but read often), therefore it takes a big issue to get me excited enough to make a post.

THIS COMBAT ABILITY IS BROKEN!!!!

Read the description. It says: "Tricks an ally's targeted enemy by swapping your hate position and your ally's against the enemy..." . Further down it says "Effects: .... Swaps your current hate position with your target's hate position.".

Please, please, please lets fix it. It works great for stealing agro, which has it's limited uses, but I think the main intent (and what every Swashy was hoping it would be useful for) does not work! Try as I might, I cannot give the top agro position to another member in the group (yes even if they are targeting the same mob).

This is our level 80, end-game (for now) spell. It is supposed to be up there with Peel (monk), Bloodletter (sk), etc. Instead it is borken and only works HALF the time (ie when we want agro).

Dev's please fix this spell so we can give our agro back to the tank.

Thank you for your time.

Dexx (Crushbone)

BTW I will keep /bugging this till it is fixed.

SoH is completely worthless...i have tried it out on several occasions and i took it off my hotbar. If i want aggro, i just have to take off avoid, hit taunt and some big hits and its mine. At that point, all the tank has to do is taunt and i can hit hideaway. takes a bit longer and isn't 100% (sometimes the squishies just have to nuke just as i hit hideaway , but so far SoH isn't either.

I know they won't give us something else and i know if they did, it wouldn't be dmg related (reverse psychology).

Those few seconds can easily be long enough to kill a mage. Even if the mage isn't dead you still have a mob running around out of control, which in a raid situation could easily wipe the raid

I'm only a 78 swashy, about half way to 79, but it makes me sad our level 80 END GAME spell stinks : ( Well I guess I'll be able to leave an extra open slot on my hotbar..... Probably would have been better off adding some sort of damage spell instead if they can't figure out the mechanics of their cute attempt at a decent spell. As a side note, I usually keep an eye out for adds and will take them off a non tank prior if I see it's going to agro, nail it a few times and then hideaway like the other gent said. Works fine 99% of the time if you have a decent tank, which luckily I do. Guess that's the guardian/ coercer rubbing off on me as those are my other toons.

The limitations of this spell even if it worked right are rediculous. I have no problem with hate. Wish our lvl 80 spell was something actually useful.. even if it did not work in pvp. Guess this is a good way to nerf swashi's wtihout actually doing so. Very disappointed, very.
