Gentemen,Was only 70 for 2.5 weeks before ca when up so never got a decent bow. Using Ghostly basically. Every tank and ranger int he guild has looted a half decent bow in RoK - some of them two - but I've hot all insatnces every day and had no luck. Any advice pls? Getting peed off with my mostly crappy auto attack

Try out the Pristine Imbued Mahogany Ornate longbow off the broker, at least for now.

I was using it up until a few days ago when I got SDL, and it worked really well.

Don't use the MC bow, it is a total piece of crap. It's better for you to stick with Bylze until you get a T7 EoF fabled longbow. I assume you know about the arrow mechanics which reduces damage on higher level bows?

I'm not sure how it would compare to Bylze, but my DPS went up alot from from Rain Caller and Griffazle with it.

It doesn't cost much, and can't hurt to try it out.

It's level 72, it has awful damage stats and a 6 sec delay.

You realize that raincaller is gray to you now, right? If you don't want to test it out, that's fine, but don't knock it and call it crap if you haven't tried it. It's just a temp bow to get you through until you get something better. Gratz Clarrice on your new bow.

Have to go with Deterrent on this one. The MC IS crap, and the Raincaller is STILL the best soloing bow for a ranger, bar none. I'm 80 and still use it when out completing quests.

Just saying.I know others who are having much success with the MC over the RC. This is at lvl 77/78.Proc'd a ton more then the RC. And the OP wasn't asking what the best bow was for soloing. Sounds like they are grouping a lot. But stupefying poison works pretty good when soloing.

You don't need to test all weapons to realize that they are crap. It isn't a magical process beyond calculation. And a temp bow until you get something better? Chances are that you have something better already.

run the instance in seb, cant recall the name of it. the first name drops a real nice 100+ damage now from a ornate chest and its a farly common drop too.

For those of us who were late-bloomers getting to 70 and didn't have a decent bow, the MC worked out well. I only had to use it a week before I got something better. I'm not saying it's an uber bow, just something that will give you more dps in groups/raids over the RC until you get something better. IF that doesn't matter to you, then stick with the RC. The name of the instance in Seb is Crypt of Agony. One of my guildies got one. It's called the Bow of Rapid Trepidation.
