<p>Have to say great job on all the items.  I'm really loving the variety of items to craft here and still working on the swaying lanterns.  I do have 1 tiny little gripe though.  Could you guys *devs* possibly increase the drop rate of the rares to craft items? </p><p>Having trouble obtaining the frilly ribbons necessary to craft the paper lanterns.  On kithicor atm they are so rare people are selling em on the broker for 24g a pop.  Was going to talk about sparks of good will, but those are in a good abundance.  </p>

That's nothing. On RE, we've got Icy Snowballs selling for over 50gp as of 8 hours ago when I looked. lolBut I agree, some of this stuff, would be nice if it wasn't so rare.

Icy Snowballs and Goodwill are rare on my server. Started at 1g each but climbing past the 10g+ mark quickly. Funny enough, I have way too many frilly ribbons. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />

The good news is that Frostfell usually stays on until the next update, roughly this time in January.  There's lots of time.

I don't think you can actually call them "rares", because every last item is suppose to have the same drop rate. Just with so many items, you just get some more often than others.

Not sure just how high yet. The Frostfell shopping/gift bags (6 s a pop with 36 slots!) do help as well. Instead of selling or destorying my left over components this year. I can just use the shared bank to move them all together to another character for holding. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>Actually I thought of an idea last night that would be pretty sweet if Domino could choke hold one of the programmers.  Have an alternating schedule of items per present boxes using a specialized switch code.  Basically have items drop between X-Y hours then switch making it so the items that would be rare between X-Y hours drop more frequently being Z-A hours.  </p><p>This way people can't capitolize on the Frostfell holidays like the greedy Mc.Scroogle tried to do. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

<p>The icy snowballs are the rare rares on AB server.</p><p>I was able to make the male snowman plushy and got two more went to make his mate Mrs. Snow  and gah gah gah - requires 3.</p><p>I have had tons of Frillys drop for me.</p><p>Goodwill is another rare.</p><p>I have noticed drops can come from specific packages - the Icy Snowballs have dropped more for me on the 3 colored stack of presents (not the one with the stars on the bottom package) more then any other.</p><p>I have gotten mostly nothing but food items from the ones with stars on the bottoms</p><p>Ribbons and dyes from the solid red ones.</p><p>If this helps..... </p>

<p>EQ2 Traders has a break down of which nodes drop which items. Check the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/article_page.php?article=g210" target="_blank">What's on Which Node </a>section. </p><p>Basically big red boxes have Workbench materials, stacks with a blue box on top have Loom materials, and the stacks with the red box w/ gold stars on the bottom have Stove & Keg materials. </p>

Also the snowballs are used for crafting the drifts as well. my big mistake was using up some items making candles that are 18s? on the vendor when the item I used up is selling for 17g on the broker.

I saved everything from last year though still don't have more than 50 of anything.</p><p>I'd like to see a higher rate of frostfell spice, the orange stuff, I think that is the name, used for candy canes and all the best stuff, I didn't have any left from last year, and only got about 10 so far this year.... and then I blew 3 trying to make 1st pristine candy canes with my 75 crafters, spamming durability the whole time and failing. *whine* I think Icy snowballs are rare too on my server.</p>

<p>I love the new items added to frostfell, which include the robes, pants, vest, boots, lanterns, mugs, and the plates of cookies. </p><p>Thank you Domino and the other devs that worked as hard as Santa's elves to create all of the frostfell goodies for us to enjoy. </p><p>Happy holidays to both you and yours to the devs and the eq2 community. </p>

Yeah very nicely done.  Not sure if the bags are new this year or not, but that would've been nice to have the past years. Are their any new quests worth doing this year or are they all the same?

Looks good this year guys!Just a quick question....are the presents you can craft this year supposed to be a lot smaller than last year? Or is my eyesight way worse than I thought?Happy Frostfell!!!

Yes , I applaude the 'new' craftable items...Just wish we had a few more 'colors' of the Swaying Lanterns .  Yellow is nice and bright, but the Blue and Purple are very close colors , would have been nice if they'd have included , perhaps a Red and a Green one also .  Hopefully they might  bring them to non-Holiday crafting as they did with the Hearths last year .   Would be a nice addition for those who RP Taverns and the like or for those who like the 'party' atmoshere  in their homes . Also , The Robes are GREAT ! Unfornatunatly, it's going to take forever getting all the raws needed to make a 'set' for each of my alts ...sigh .

<p>I've been playing for a while now but this is my first Frostfell and I am loving it!  Love the look of the swaying lanterns as well.  These are part of the decor in Gorowyn anyway, so hopefully they will make the move to a regularly crafted item. </p><p> Cheers.</p>

<p>I have noticed that there are a few items that will not be accepted into the Frostfell Harvest Bags, notably the sugar, apple, raw vanilla and onion . . . probably b/c they are past and present regular tradeskilling items?</p><p>Just a little warning too, for those of us who click through tradeskill start menus too quickly . . . the game will preferentially substitute the raw vanilla over tuber strands.  A little holdover from when they were still used in crafting.</p><p>Cheers.</p>

Love the new lanterns and robes and such!  I do notice some components seem to be rarer than others - Goodwill, glittery powder, cotton twine, frilly ribbons, and fancy yellow wrap seem to be the hardest to get for me.I am, however, getting lots and lots of ground limestone from the red-topped present piles.  Isn't that only used for the hearths which are no longer being made available, or did I miss a new recipe that also uses it?

Lodrelhai - The Candy Canes use it too , both the 'Decor' ones and the 'weapons' ones , and I beleive thats all that do ......but I could be wrong on that  . . . I'm sure if I am , it'll show up here ....LOL

TY, I'd forgotten about those!  Suppose I should work on getting stuff besides lanterns...I nominate the lanterns to be this year's hearths - ie, item that later gets modified so the Carpenters can make them all the time!  Please?
