This is my first year participating in Frostfell and I was wondering where the Tree quest was and do you have to be a certain lvl to do it? Can it be done solo or is it a group quest? I'd love some details. Thanks.

I was able to solo mine. The first part send you to kill a few things, but I believe it scales to your level (at 39 I was sent to Zek). The second part involves running around your home town. Not too complicated really.

Where do you pick up the quest? Frostfell village?

Look around town for a pair of Goblins and a Frostfell display. In Freeport it was in South Freeport where the stairs split at the neat little overlook place. You talk to one to get the first quest that gets you the plain tree. Then the second goblin's quest will upgrade the tree to have a sparkly on top. I'm not sure where they'd hang out in the other cities, but it wasn't near the wardrobe.

Thanks so much - I'm in Kelethin so I'll take a look around tonight. I appreciate your help.

In Qeynos they're on the front steps of the Ironforge Exchange in North Qeynos. In Neriak they're right next to the Frostfell Closet in the Dockside Markets square. I have yet to locate them in Kelethin. I do know they're not with the Closet.

This quest is solo for some levels, but for some it is heroic. For example, it was ridiculously easy (10 level 15 mobs) for my level 20 in Gorowyn, but requires my level 62 to go kill heroic level 65 mobs in a couple of dungeons. Not quite sure why this is the case, but I think it's pretty annoying. So good luck--hope it's one of the more straightforward ones for you

For the frostfell tree, no there is no way to get it with out the snowball base, but with some creative bucket placement, you can hide the frostfell look and have a nice potted tree for your home )

I have a quick FF Tree question... did the quest for the tree, the lights and the wreath (love them!) and the Goblin still wants to give me the quest again. Haven't tried doing the entire thing thru a second time yet, but the tree and the wreath are both Lore items, so didn't think you could have more than one?? Whaddaya think??Thx!Jeks

As far as I know, the tree quest is not repeatable . . . the wreath however is. I think once the lore item is placed in your home and is out of your personel inventory, bank, house vault . . . you can get another.

Cheers.

At that level at least, its back to soloable.

I did the tree quest and was also sent to Steamfont. I also was also killed numerous times to finish the quest. I found the trick was kill the target and don't worry about dying after that - as long as the target dies first you get credit and then go back for more once you revive. LOL. I got my tree, the extra lights and one wreath so far. I'm going back for another wreath tonight. Happy Frostfell everyone!

Just an update... went ahead and redid the FF Tree quest that the gobby offered me (after I had already completed it the first time) and I DID get a second tree. Oddly enough, when I tried it a second time on my alt -- it did NOT grant a second item (though it let me do the entire quest and did give me XP).Perhaps it was bugged for a few days and allowed me more than one Lore item??Whaddaya think??xo,Jeks

If it's in your inventory or your bank, you don't get a second. If it's placed in your house, you can get a second. I'm going to make a second run through tonight and see.

Lvl 54 Conj here...found the best way is go in thru Silent City...and then head for zone to Living Tombs. The veilguards are just inside the zone. Be sure to have invis spell/totem as you will need it thru SC.The other mobs you need are in SC. It was cool to bounce back and forth at the zone line getting the mobs.Have fun!

I think this quest is supposed to scale to level, but the scaling isn't always very fair.My lvl 49 warden had a cakewalk killing some blue arrow down sharks in Everfrost bay where my lvl 31 conjuror got killed 6 times cause he had to do yellow and orange (sometimes grouped) mobs in Steamfont Mountains. Had to help out a lvl 59 wiz who had to go to LT and SC for the veilguards too. Best way is to head to the SC via the waterways, in the last part of LT the veilguards are arrow down in the waterways. There are some veilguards on the floor as well, but they are heroics and non-doable solo.Zone into SC and kill mummies just inside. Any mummy will do. GL.As for the go invis part, lots of mobs in the Courts in LT you have traverse see through invis, mostly the heroic grouped mobs, so I think you still may need to bring some friends.
