Frostfell? come on

I do not know if this was already a topic or not but my question to SOE is...you did frostfell again...I applaud you for it...but, Why did it have to be the same bore then last year? Moreover, bjust ecause I got the same snow globe last year I don't get any present this year? Why did you not at least come up with some alternate present? Some food and drink scaled to the character lvl as an example would have been great...something not just the message "you already own th Antonican snow globe and can't get another one" that stinksJ.C.

One other thing - is it true, as I've heard, that the Candy Cane Grab Tag game is only available in Qeynos, and not Freeport?I've found it on a Qeynos toon, but cannot find it on a FP toon.  The reason I ask is that game is an excellent source of achievement experience, at least it was last year.  Hopefully they made it so you can't get repeatable aa from it this year.

yeah, it would be nice if the Frostfell content was changed up from year to year.  Maybe change the zone used for the Frostfell Village from the chunk of EF they currently use and use the chunk of Kylong around Teren's Grasp instead.  Teren's Grasp would make a much nicer Frostfell area.

<p>I got all the snowglobes last year so am expecting only one or two gifts this year. For me, maybe the musical boxes as an alternative would have been nice since I wasn't around when they were given out. One of my alts was offered a candycane "weapon" (I think it was a weapon). I couldn't take that either as I "already have one and can't have another". Being turned away, I couldn't quite shake off the feeling that I had been "naughty" this year rather than "nice". <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> I must try harder!</p><p>On the more positive side, I love the new hat from the "Saving Frostfell" quest that takes you to Steamfont. Around the tree from Queen Bunny is another elf named Gardy Giftgiver (IIRC). Each day he will give each character that hails him one present, provided you haven't received a present from him in the last 24 hours. Usually it's a snow globe, but he also gives out candy-cane weapons and large gift boxes as well. Even if you got all the snow globes from last year, there are two new ones: Gorowin and Neriak.Every character can get their own present and has their own hidden 24 hour timer.

There are LOTS of nice new items this Frostfell, like the snowman plushies, the lanterns, the plates of cookies and cups of hot chocolate and mulled wine, three holiday cards that are really spectacular, many new clothing items including robes and funny hats and a fancy vest and red pants and green boots, new candles....and there are probably several other items I've forgotten.  I'm having a really good time this Frostfell and I love the Frostfell village and all my many gifts.I have to say, though, having Gardy tell my toons, over and over, that they can't have a present -- it's kinda depressing.  I don't want the globes again, and it doesn't bother me at all that the people who didn't get them last year have a chance now, but maybe Gardy could just give toons one present each day until there are no more and then tell them so.  If there are only one or two new presents for that toon, that's fine, but let's not make the poor toon go to Gardy each day for 15 days or so, waiting to see if there is a present this time.  (Am I right about this?  It seems like that's what's happening.  Each day there is a particular present scheduled to be given to a particular toon, unless the toon got it last year, and since many of our toons got all the presents last year they are going to be told no a whole lot of times this year.  It doesn't seem like it would me a bit adjustment to just have Gardy default to the next present until he finds one the toon doesn't have -- but what do I know, maybe it's a huge adjustment.)
