Hello Fellow EverQuest Players,I have to separate issues which both affect my game play. The first issues is the EverQuest 2 Patcher. Whenever i tell it to run a full file scan it finds literately 200 new files every time, i issue a full file scan. The Sony folder is currently 9.54GB with 4,658 files and 183 folders. Once the full scan is complete, i close the game and relaunch the patcher to do a full scan again to ensure everything is downloaded, and again it has literately 200 files for another 30 minute patch. I must have repeated this over 10 times so far with no improvement or change. My second issue is running EverQuest 2 with an 8800 GTX with dual monitors, setup in a DualView Mode (Each Monitor Is Independently Configured) which allows me to window EverQuest 2 but maximize the game in one whole monitor allowing the second monitor to be used for web browsing and so on. I typically have never had an issue until have to reinstall Vista x64 Ultimate. I am fully patched with Windows and the latest graphic drivers from nVidia, but over a coarse of playing (random time) typically though 30 minutes, my one monitor begins to "pulse" a white flash and then followed by both monitors turning off (still hearing music run normally, and other applications interacting with sound), about 10 seconds later i receive a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), proclaiming that my graphic driver crashed and was unable to recover. This only occurs in EverQuest 2, I have no issues with any other video game on my PC (Counter Strike, World in Conflict, BF 2142, ect)Any input would be greatly appertained, thank you.

I have the graphics issue as well. I am running vista business x64 with a duel monitor configuration. I have two nvidia geforce 8800 ultra cards. I run EQ2 in window mode and I can play for 20 minutes to 5 hours. I have yet to figure out what triggers the problem.

The glitch causes lines to appear from the center of the screen fanning out. I get all kinds of spinning colors between each line. (what was that toy as a kid, spirograph?) Very interesting effect, but frustrating. I've turned off user accounts and I have the latest drivers from nvidia.

I don't have issues with any other software. Your not alone Leinna .

Leinna,

There is a lot of info about the graphics glitch on this thread.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=411077

Go to the last page to get the latest. Looks like it is an issue with DirectX and EQ2. As far as the patcher issue, I wish I knew.

Cpl ideas for patcher issue.. make sure you run as admin, also make sure your eq folder isn't set to read only or something wierd (mine was after copying the directory from a backup but I think the run as admin might have been bypassing that setting anyway, unchecked read only to be sure).
