I'm playing a Warden for the first time. I just hit level 20 last night with 18AA (most in melee). One thing I've noticed since level 10 or so is that my spells and CA's are resisted alot. On last nights parse my Two DD spells were resisted 37% of the time. With the Chill line being reisted almost 42% of the time. My Two CA's are at 5/5 and 4/5 and I parsed a successful hit rate of under 50% (46%). What the heck am I doing wrong? Does this get better? ever???

For review, my Disruption is maxed out as is my melee (crushing).

The mele attacks get better at lvl 26 when you get a single target buff to boost mele skills.

On your spells , what rank do you have, and what con of mobs are you getting 37% resisted on?

Greater Fire is Adept 3 and Chill is Master 2. I was level 20 when I took that log I was fighting level 19's. (I'm level 22 now). I was showing my wife a fight today against level 20's (two levels below me now) and the fight started out, Resist, Resist, Resist, Resist, hit, hit, Resist, Resist. Then my next 4 cast all hit and the mob died.

I dropped my melee AA's and went up the INT line. I'll revisit the Melee lines once I've got a few AA's to play with.

If your going melee then you need as much STR gear as you can get. But you need to also go all the way down the Wardens AA line to get your CA's. So for now I would just go down the int line which you have done. Melee warden is so over rated tbh.

If you leveled really quickly from 10 to 20...which is possible to do...your skills might not be maxed to your level. I can't for the life of me remember what Chill and it's ilk are, but I'll bet if you inspect your skills you'll find you are way under your level vs. your skill. It'll say something like "Subjugation 25/100".

Combine that with a spell that's considerably lower level than you are, even if Adept 3 or M1/2 and you'll see resists a lot till you get the next spell in the progression. Chill at M2 might say it nukes more than the next updated one (that happens a lot), but that doesn't take into account resists...so in truth, it really doesn't.

Back at those lower levels...when I was not checking what spells were next and when, but letting them unfold as I earned them (yeah, yeah..RP is not good for min/maxing..agree), I always knew I was almost ready to get an upgrade when I was struggling to land damages. Heals are never resisted, but when I was fighting to heal, I knew another one was going to be revealed soon.

Hope this helps. Brought to you by Arielle's Patented "Seems Like (tm)" Method. And the letter Q.

And no im not trying to make Sormr jealous.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thats strange though Tylis considering the ranks you have, and the chill was resisted more, And it was a blue con.
All I can think is the mobs you parsed it were very cold/elemental resistant.
You didnt mention your Dot/debuff (cant remember the lvl you get it) but if you dont have, should be coming soon. It debuffs for cold and heat, will make it easier to hit them. But it can also be resisted quite a bit. A wisdom hex doll can also help to hit tuff mobs.
That might be a good idea though to scrap the mele line till lvl 26 and or a significant amount of AA .... 75% mele crits is 21 pts, then going down str line to max mele heal proc is 21 pts also.
So ... yes throw your pts in int line to storm vision to raise disruption skill ... 17 pts to rank 4 storm vision aint bad.
I wouldnt bother with infusion unless you want to fight up close though, goes very well with the mele spec.
Hope this helps
