I have just started a new necro/warlock duo combo using two computers. The warlock will receive more attention than the necro. In fact I'll only have 6 buttons available for the necro. Naturally this is far less than would be required to make full use of necromancer potential. My plan is to fill out the tank pet summoner line for maximum hate gain and survivability for the tank pet since there won't be any other sources of tanking. The necromancer himself will then be used primarily for support rather than DPS, and the warlock obviously will make up for it.As you can see this set up would mean a slightly different strategy than either a normal group or solo necro build.Would anyone have suggestions on how to maximize potential of the necro in this situation? Thanks in advance.

is there a reason why people are getting more rediculous in post and not thinking in todays age, dual boxing is considering BOTTING under the EULA, GGand heres alittle more defined aspect on dual boxingMulti boxing would be an example of cheating which doesn't follow design philosophy. Most MMOG's intent is that each character represent a unique real person. Gods and Heroes and Guild Wars have designs which allow for pet type characters to aid your main, but boxing two mains would be cheating. Basically when you multibox you are making yourself more powerful than design intended since you don't have to split the rewards with another real person, wether it's sharing experience gained or items/coin earned. If a MMOG intended multiboxing to be part of the design, they would allow two characters to be controlled by a single account.

So long as youre not using a macro program on the second computer, I dont feel it's cheating, and this is the first time Ive ever heard someone suggest it was. I twobox quite a bit, without macro programs. I can tell that I dont like twoboxing. It's a pain. Neither character operates at 100% efficiency. And when I solo an instance, or when I used to anyway, I would solo it, not twobox it.

Im twoboxing through the Kunark questline because I dont have time to run them through separately. It has become verifiably apparently that if you do all the nonherioc quests, you will not be 80 when youre done. My friends that solo'd it were 80 with plenty of quests left to go, so the twobox effect of reducing even crappy xp gain has become apparent. You have to run instances after that to finish yourself off, although I imagine most people will have done that anyway.

However, it is still worth it because I dont have the RL time for all my characters. So, back to your question. My necro is on my main computer. I pretty much stick to my lifetaps and pet related stuff. My warlock pretty much just hits Catalyst+Apoc on the first encounter and then FHS+BigNuke (single target or green depending on the situation) on the next encounter. By the time we get to the 3rd encounter, catalyst+apoc is back up.

Now if your talking about ^^^ blue, white or yellow name killing, these two are not a good combination. And they're going to be broken up the moment Im done with the questing. It has been quite the annoyance dragging my warlock along. And SOE does their level best to make twoboxer's and most notably out-of-group twoboxers suffer if they insist upon continuing to twobox. It used to be much easier. But as the prior poster stated, SOE doesnt like it. I dont know why they dont like it. For me, it was a matter of quitting the game for lack of being able to accomplish anything, or paying SOE double their normal fee for the priviledge of twoboxing. I have never used macro programs, so that's my personal honor system in effect.
