2 handed weapons?

Is there any reason for a shadowknight to use a 2handed sword?I'm a long time EQoa player, and that was there main wepon of choice, but in eq2 it looks like they are more of a sword and board type class =/

My SK uses a 2 hander when I'm soloing.  I switch to a sword and shield when tanking for a group or for a real hard encounter.  So, it's situational.

<p>My SK and Paladin switch out to a 2hander when soloing too. Or those rare occurances when in a group and not tanking. The damage is a smidgeon better with a decent weapon. </p><p>And, hardly anyone uses a 2hander but so many of them exist. So there tends to be an over-abundance of them on the broker. It's rare to find a decent 1hander, rarer for it to be within a reasonable price range - but common enough to be able to pick up a fabled 2hander. </p>

I dont see why ud use a 2 hander when you can just get 2 1 handers that are either legendary/fabled, or just 2 imbuned 1 handers giving you double the chance to rip off that imbunment.

<p>I've experinmented with this 7 different ways to Sunday. For me the bottom line is that I can solo a way tougher mob with a sword and board in defensive stance than any other way.</p><p>Historically the only time I use a two hander is on a raid when I'm not tanking. My rule has become if I'm gettin hit I use a shield.</p>

I pretty much go same as everyone else.  2 hander if i am not tanking.  Sword and Board all other times
