Help with a purchase issue pls

I am trying to purchase EQ2 for a freind - I want to buy the item as the digital download, therefore only having to ship some form of certificate via email, but I cant find anyway of doing this - help!

I always bought retail packages so I can only guess:If you buy from SOE, access to the game is directly unlocked on the account you buy with. If you buy from an external source (direct2drive or others) you'll get a game key via mail. This key has to be registered on the account you want to play EQ2.In your case, I think you could buy from direct2drive.com and send the download link + game key to your friend. However they are only available in north america. There are others but that's the only one I remember.
