Never played any kind of melee class in this game so far, and so I need advice on how to best balance my use of CA's and spells vs. maxing my potential auto attack dps.

This is mainly from looking at the STR tree, all that haste...Seems like it might be a bit of a waste if I am casting and using CA's all the time. So any tips on this issue, something like use things as needed and as for spamming dps abilities do a 2 count or something in between uses?

Also what is your stance on the WIS line, and what is the dps difference between 8 points in Fervor of faith vs. 8 in Avengers relentlessness, 4/5 Swift attack?

Thanks in advance.

thoughts on AAs are in a bit of a flux right now due to the way RoK is doing some things.

STR is liked by some (I have it right now, but I'm about to drop it... again)

Up through KoS raiding, the majority of people (that I've spoken with) use AGI/STA/INT 4/4/8. This gives you a 40% AoE, 22% melee crit, 68% spell crit.

With RoK though, the usefulness of AGI is coming into question. Not a huge number of multiple mob encounters in this expansion, so a 40% AoE isn't that important, and with the increase of mobs that fear, Wis is coming more into favor.

I'm about to go STA 4/4/8/8/2, WIS 4/4/8/8/2, INT 4/4/8 and that leaves me a point left over for something else.

On the EoF tree, there is really no real contest for most of the points. Hero - Full and Wrath. Points into the proc buffs as well.

As for timing issues, this is hard until you get a longer delay weapon. The 1.6 delay and 1.8 delay weapons simply do not give you alot of time to cast, especially longer casting spells (that you will get later). Once you can get a decent delay weapon (3+ for one hander, 5+ for two) it becomes easier to time your spells and get more benefit out of hastes.
