View Full Version : Improving the shadowknight for grouping and raiding

<p>two things i would like to see the shadowknight get that i think would make them wanted in raids and groups.</p><p>1) give them a buff that adds a percentage based taunt to every attack. so say for example that percentage is 25%. If they hit for a mob for 100 they get an addition 25 hate . if they hit for 1000 they get 250 hate additional. </p><p>2) give them more Siphon abilities yet make these group/raid wide short duration buffs. things like ....</p><ul><li> Siphon Attack speed</li><li> Siphon mitigation</li><li> Siphon Str and Sta</li><li> Siphon Wisdom and Intelligence</li></ul><p>i think done right these two abilities would make them wanted on raids especially the siphoning abilities, if of course they aren't made just fluff like siphon str is now.</p>

<p>1) Don't agree or disagree with this, Sks can hold agro fairly well if the group your with just listens. A little more would not hurt however.</p><p>2) I think we have enough tbh, any more and we would be considered dirges! It would not be fair imo for a tank to be a group buffer/debuffer as wel, it would make us too useful which in turn would get our overall dmg nerfed later on.We already have an attack speed buff through AAWe already have a mitigation debuff at lvl 70We can use AA to add siphon sta to the siphon strength which we already have.Unhallowed Strength was made raid wide as well which is a great boost.</p>

Neither of these changes are needed nor will they improve the Shadowknight class. 25% more hate [Removed for Content]? You do realise that we are OTs and not MTs? 25% hate is overpowered - end of story, and we would have to be doing about 1k zw or something equally pathetic to not be pulling aggro all the time.

One simple change could make SK's "wanted" on raids.  Make DM a 20 sec buff instead of 10 sec.  Simple, effective, and not overpowered.

<p>Why do i always see people posting like our class is broken.</p><p>We are not, it just take skill to play a crusader we are not the auto taunting warrior class.</p><p>Sk's get off you butt you class take skill to play and hold agro that is what makes fun to play..</p><p>Rule no 1 we can do the same thing the warriors can do, we just do it diffrent.</p><p>The only thing is that we get spike damage up the #$%^ but after that with the right setup we can be ok and better.</p>

And with RoK released, it's sad on the amount of idiots that are going to be at 80 and totally make the good players of said class be it SK, etc etc etc look like crap.

<p>can't blame just the people playing Sk's tho, it's been inbread into the game since release that Sk's suck, there are still people that won't group with an sk as a MT in group's even tho Sk's could be considered the best group tank in the game. </p><p> and our Syphon Hate should be increased to 8% , its Toggleable , so if we aren't the Raid MT we can just click it off, if we are the OT then we can click it on when we need to and turn it off when we dont need it when adds spawn or if the MT dies and we need to take the mob </p><p> i have seen absolutly no differance in my agro ability with Syphon hate, except that occasioanly when i had Syphon on  i seemed to lose agro to any class that had an Agro buff placed on me then agro would ping pong between us . <-- you would think that Using syphon hate 3 % of all group members hate would be a very noticable differance , it should be as noticable as a Pally not using amends on anybody and then placing amends on a dps class as this is our answer for Amends , it definitly needs to be increased to make a noticable differance when its Active otherwise its a waste of AA points IMO.</p>
