Class question

I'm new, just coming over from wow.  I'm trying to decide on a class that will be a strong soloing class for pve content as well as be a fairly strong class at pvp.  I've read the threads on classes and ive looked over the pvp boards some all ive been able to gather so far is that the scout type classes are strong at pvp and necromancer is very good at soloing but from what i can tell is very poor for pvp.  I've seen a few posts stating that sk's are a pretty good soloing class but nothing mentioning how they are in pvp situations, also curiouse as to how some of the scout classes are for pve content.  The only class i dont really have a desire to play is a healing class,  I played a healer in wow and am completely burnt out on that.  So im basically just looking for a class that ill be able to solo much of the pve content if neccessary and that will still be able to hold their own in pvp situations.  any info is greatly appreciated.

<p>The brigan and swashy are decent soloers for pve (I know the brigand is capable of taking out old world heroics on their own) and quite strong in pvp because of the stuns as well as other scout goodies. In the character selection assassin is listed as a rogue and I know they have troubles soloing tough things (no clue about pvp for assassin).</p><p>Heroics are kind of like WoW elite mobs, except I think they are harder, fyi =)</p><p>Hope that helps!</p>
