I'm new to being a Mystic, just dinged 17 last night, and I'm duoing with my wifes bezerker (so far a very fun duo).My marco questions are more centered around dogdog.  Is there a way in the macroing options in the game, to set an "assist my target", or "assist Player X" command for the puppy? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I might be over thinking this, but at work atm, and not in the position to check the macro options in game. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Are there any other macro's I need to think about as i level?

My macro for my pet is:/usea Leg Bite/pet killIt puts the Leg Bite proc on my pet and sends it after my target (or my target's target, aka the implied target).

Sweet so that does work then, if i'm targeting my wife, and hit "attack" the dog automatically attacks my targets target. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />very cool indeed, thanks! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I have a lot of macros, but had never thought to queue up Leg bite with Dogdog's attack key.Nice one.

Are there any macro's that are considered "Must haves"?Also, do we have buffs that make Dogdog less umm sucky?Right now, he basically gets one shot by orcs in crushbone. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  he does get better, right?

He HAS to pretty much be behind the mob, or he's going to eat ripostes & frontal melee aoe's and die. I have a defiler as well, didn't even bother with taking the aoe immunity with her atm (she's only 46) at the end of the str line. Her dog can live just fine if I pay attention to positioning. Once you get into raiding situations or where creatures are regularly tossing non frontal aoes that ability becomes much more useful.</p><p>As a mystic you have another option to beef him up a bit, the mystic specific melee aa line ends with an ability that gives him more HP and damage. </p><p>My dog can currently have agro for a short while on ROK solo mobs and not bite it. If I feel like healing him he could probably tank them, but that would take more power than I care to use while soloing (I don't typically heal or ward while I solo).</p><p>I actually rarely deal with doggy death on either shaman in these days of aura of warding dropping when the mob dies.</p><p>As for macros, I never even thought about using them for my dog to be honest lol. I might have to try Banditman's. That's pretty much what I tell my dog to do anyway. </p>

One trick that has helped me immensely while solo'ing is to put up my Group Ward prior to pulling with a STA debuff. If my dog manages to hit the mob and pull aggro before I can hit the mob, when the mob hits the dog, the Ward protects him and gives me the aggro from "healing" . . . usually the mob bounces right off dogdog onto me.Other macros?  Hmmm.  Not a lot really.  I have macros for buffing.Buff MT:/usea Ancestral Avatar/usea PremonitionBuff Me:/usea Ursine Avatar/usea PremonitionGroup 1:/usea Spirit of the Mastadon/usea Water SpiritGroup 2:/usea Runic Armor/usea Ancestral MettleYea, I actually cast my water breathing every time.  I know, it's shocking.  I've actually found that it's nice to have for doing Chelsith, both getting to it and within the zone itself.

<p>My Favorite Macro is not a command Macro..but when I cast my healing beaver it says:</p><p>"Yes, even my beaver heals!"  It brings a chuckle to the group..even if there is a horrible death.</p>

A little note on your duo; You'll love it =)My fiance and I are playing a mystic/berserker duo, and even now at lvl 80 we can duo pretty much anything that we don't need a full group for.DPS is decent, and heals aren't a problem. We have always been able to kill heroic nameds, and have duo'd our way all through 80, even in heroic instances.Enjoy =)
