Been away from the game for a while. I would appreciate several different ideas for Raiding Paladin builds. Thank you in advance.

What tier raiding? What role? Various answers based upon that.

Right now, the common thought is with the limited number of multiple encounter mobs that Wis is better than Agi. But if you are doing t7 raiding, AGI will still be the better choice. There is no reason to not take STA all the way to the end line now.

I know I will likely go STA 5/4/8/8/2, WIS 4/4/8/8/2, INT 4/4/8 once I start doing t8 instances/t8 raiding.

On the paladin side, hero/Wraith is still a solid winner, with the excess points put in either heals (if you solo alot when no raiding) or support.

Being the main tank for my guild and pretty much all done with T7 I have found the build I use to be pretty effective. Not only do I hold aggro with ease, I also am in the top 10 of DPS pretty much every fight.

STR - 4 5 8 8 2

STA - 4 4 8 8 2

INT - 4 4 8

And of course the 1 point in Concenter bring the total to 70 points

As for the Subclass AA abilities I went down of course Hero and Wrath. To top it off I went down Support for the Cure Spells ability. That abilty can be really helpful in soloing, grouping, and raid situations. Also helps with aggro management a little, but every bit counts when you have other classes parsing 3-4k.

EOF AA Trees:

HERO: I did 5/5 in Sigil of Heroism, Faithful Strike, Bayle's Leadership, and Blessing of the Paladin. Bringing the last point in Blocking mastery.

WRATH: I did 5/5 in Circular Smite, Excoriation, Circle of Conviction, Verdict, and Consecration. Bringing the last point in Smite Evil.

SUPPORT: I did 5/5 in Call of Inspiration, Raid Armament, Castigate, Call of Duty. Bringing the last point to Cure Spells.

That gives you a total of 138 points. I put the last two in Fervent Aid. You can do what you want with them. It all depends on the role you play in the group/raid.

That seems to be the new cookie cutter paladin spec.

I do plan to have a fearless spec for situational use once the items that allow you to swap AA trees are in game.

level 57 here, and my guild is having me main assist a lot, we are doing t5, then in the end of december, moving to T6 raids, then february moving to T7. As i grow into my role, i did the standard, 4,4,8 sta, agi, int. and for paladin tree, i now have 21 points in hero, getting my blocking mastery. my mit is high with mc gear, so as i hit the 60's, what should i be looking for gear wise... i hear the mc is crap, and there is a lot more good stuff from raids, all i have to do is know what it is , so i can ask for specific raid spots. The guild is dedicated to building all of us 50's 60's, for better raiders. Anything with real high mitigation? best weapon/shield for 60? thanks guys.

to gear up in the 60's you need to hit the instances. Curiass of protection from blackscale sepulcher, chitin plated gauntlets from the den, along with the rings in the den.. very nice legendary gear, not terribly hard to get. work on the claymore line, some great rewards in there even if you and your guild cant touch Deathtoll. after that, go on as many pickup raids as you can, although that can be tough for a tank. you can keep farming T6 as you work your way into t7
