I currently have a 60's lvl Warden, but am interested in making a new healer for an alt guild I have. I was wondering if rolling a Fury would be too much like making a new Warden. Anyone here play both?

I have a warden and a fury, both of them a fun to play. But to be honest the difference between them is not as big as a warden to lets say a defiler.

They're very similar, so unless there's something specific you're looking for in a warden you're better off rolling a different healer type. The biggest playstyle difference is probably that a warden has the option to spec melee effectively with their EoF AA line. Otherwise they have similar spells, although the fury nuke damage is superior, moreso with their AAs. Buffs are different too, but you'll find playing a shaman or cleric to be more of a "different" experience than your fury imo. Inq and mystics are easier to solo if that's your thing.

Really don't know why you'd say Inq/Mystic are easier to solo... would love if you could expand on that.(Unless you mean go AFK while fighting the mobs then coming back in 30 or so seconds to find the mob dead.)

I kill mobs in a few seconds without being hit and no needing to med between fights. How does your inq do?

A battle cleric-specced Inq with HI up will kill mobs just as fast, toe to toe, with no power issues, either. And they can do it without interrupts (STR line which beats Serenity).

Let's see. I have a melee specced mystic. Her CAs hit harder than most of my berserker/bruiser/brigand's CAs because they ALWAYS crit. She gets great melee buffs and a pet that adds dps. I've duoed with an inquisitor who went down their melee line and he hits hard/er as well. I'm not really sure how you can call any melee spec priest a wimp or think they take any time at all with solo mobs. They just tear right thru them with their CAs. Lol and heal/med? A mystic throws one ward up and it'd be unusual if a white solo mob goes through even that much hp. The only priest I haven't leveld past 50 is a templar/inq so I can't comment on that. Anyway, both furys and wardens solo well, obviously, once specced right with enough AAs.

To answer the OP's question, I've played both and what I've noticed is that everybody who has played both has a definite favorite. I prefer a Fury, but I have a lot of friends who prefer the Warden, so I'd say it's probably a 50/50 split. The bottom line is that they are very similar, so I'd recommend a non-druid class.

As to the thread-hijaking coments about Inquisitors ... it's true, they do as much damage as a Fury with more mitigation and a bunch of other goodies. IMHO, they're one of the hidden gems out there. Defilers and Mystics are also very underrated by the majority of people, because it takes sooo long for them to get good.

*shrug*... I tried playing a melee shaman with EoF set and that long delay stuff from EH... took her 16 seconds to kill a mob that it took my fury 4 seconds (two nukes) to do.
