As of now we have a zerker warden mystic dirge illusionist brig in one of our raid group my question is would a coercer be better suited for that group. The group is pretty much just pure melee dps if you gave some comparisons of spells would be helpful also. Thank you for the input.

Nope the illusionist will buff melee with haste/illu arm. All we can do is dps mod, and scouts usually prefer haste.

Dont forget we can give coercive healing to one of the healers, hate buff to the tank, thought snap for the tank if he's the MT. In that respect it might be better to switch.

He said raid group so no way that's MT group. Not much of an OT group either.

Coercive healing is just an all around inferior aa. About the only conceivable reason to put coercer in that group instead of illusionist is if you're Tashiania lined and the brigand is putting thieves guild on you for the increased mitigation debuffs.

Or possibly if the warden didn't show up and you had an inquisitor who was hasting people with fanaticism.

My guild leaders prefer to stick the illusionist in the OT group though, so I generally get put in a group similar to that one.

The Buffs that the Coercer brings to the table are better suited for an MT and possibly an OT group. given the Illy's get IA, and haste. We get the hate increase and who ever said that coercive healing is crap doesn't know how useful a15% to a shamans wards really are. Illusionists dont really do much for an MT. especially one thats a warrior. I could understand if the MT was a crusader. but tbh the coercer buffs hate, which makes them phenominal not to mention CHANNELING.
