Okay, this is weird. My main is L74 Warden/L71 Weaponsmith.  I'm 50k max faction with Riliss, 23,600 faction with Bathezid from adventuring.I can't find out how to get Bathezid faction up higher besides killing every yha-lei fishman I see or iksar NPC.  I'm all out of quests for the sarnaks.I was roaming around Bathezid looking for any quests when I saw the blinking ring on the map that denotes a quest giver.  So over I went and it was the crafting writ giver.  And I was able to get the writ.Thing is, I thot that faction could only be up to 10k for a crafter?  I have beyond that in faction for them already.I checked Riliss out of curiosity and could also gain the crafting writ even tho I'm 50k maxed faction. So I could do the writs and get my Bathezid faction up even tho I'm able to access the merchant and buy my advanced books because of adventuring faction.  I could get max ally via writs even tho there's seemingly no more faction quests.I don't know if this should be bugged, so asking if anyone else has had similar with their adventure/crafter hybrids.

I could have swore Domino stated in her post about the different RoK factions that crafting writs could only get you up as far as 40k warmly but could not get you all the way to ally, only adventuring could do that.As to why Riliss is still offering quests, with max faction you can't really test it but I don't believe it was ever said you would get cut off from ever doing writs with the different factions ever again, just that would gain no more faction after reaching 40k. So I would say see if it actually rewards you the faction after completion but you can't without losing some.

When hubby and I only had 4 Bathezid quests left, we realized that we wouldn't get enough faction to get to ally (40k). So, as we are both also t8 crafters, we started doing writs before cashing those last quests in. When I hit 30k (warmly), the writ giver wouldn't talk to me anymore. That seems to work just as intended, according to what I have read both in posts from Domino here on the forums and in the write up about faction writs at eq2traders. Haven't checked Riliss yet since we hit warmly there, as we will be getting more than enough faction to max just from adventuring there.

My presumption is that you could do a -combination- of crafting and adventuring for higher faction but crafting only wouldn't give you higher than warmly. It is good to know that the crafting writs aren't blocked to those who adventure first and craft after since the first character I have going through Kunark is my coercer who is only 30 or 40-something in tailoring but I would like to get her higher and go through the faction writs -later-.

Bethazid definitely got the short end of the adventure quest stick. :/

Indeed. I tallied up the adventure quests for Bathezid, and the most you can get from them and the kills needed for them is around 23K (you have to kill some Rilissians in there and I'm not sure exactly how much you get for them, but it can't be more than about 2K). Crafting writs will take you to 30K. But someone else checked and getting to 30K faction with them doesn't open up any new quests or anything and I understand you need to get to 40K before some vendor items become available. And I remember from beta there were quests available from NPCs in Bathezid's that aren't giving quests even at 30K. I get the feeling something's borken about this faction.
