Skivley's guide to charming Animals

<p> These are a few things ive noticed with charming animals</p><p>You might want to disreguard this stuff if your not hearing voices</p><p>But i find these rules of thumb dont hurt</p><p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ </p><p>#1 ... Never make them kill their own kind</p><p>#2 ... Promise them you wont kill them no matter what (and keep your word)</p><p>#3 ... #4 ... Snacks.  Always make sure to bring snacks appropriate for your charmed pet and treat them often.         Gorillas like fruits and nuts, panthers like raw meat.  It's best for everyone if you don't get that mixed up.

<p>#5.   If the mob says they are "Wild" this or "Crazy" that...believe them.  They are not lying.  Choose another type of beast for charm.</p><p>#6    Remember that while they are charmed, they may be killing things for you, but they really hate you a lot.  Besides the AA advantage of learning any creature languages - make sure you do just so you can understand what names they are calling you.  It will make you feel less bad about disposing of them when the time comes. </p>

#7 ..  If for some unavoidable reason you simply had to kill your charmed pet, do not, I repeat DO NOT go and charm the same kind of animal.  Charming your last pets mother,father, brother, sister etc can only end in heartache or death for those involved.

#8 In reference to rules 6 & 7 ... If you figure out what names they'er calling you, and feel compelled to yell back , Keep it clean cuz you dont want to corrupt their little brother's and sister's minds.

#9  Never say "Please" and "Thank You" ..or worse yet "good boy!" to your charmed pet for killing an animal.  It serves to forge a bond between you that makes you all softhearted and stuff.   Just use 'em and toss 'em.   You guys know what I'm talkin about.

<p>#10 Hand out information packs to your pets (when they do a good job) on all the druids that probably tortured their pet hamsters , so they can be forewarned of the cruel and unusual punishment they might receive , or just get all their buddies together to gang up on them. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/49869fe8223507d7223db3451e5321aa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>You might want to watch out for the Kunzar Tigers Arie ...</p>

<p>Some good advice. Now in JW the cockatrices there make good pets except when they turn on you and you get hit with thier evil stuns. They do prefer eyeballs IMO to any kind of vegetarian food and they dont block the view as much as big animals. The cats there are nice to charm due to their high autoattack but the when they turn on you and we all know they will, it can really hurt if taking on 2 other mobs at the same time or have low health.  </p><p>Willow wisp/sylph can give you time to decide which mobs you want to slaughter and if your pet is one of them. Of course if you are in Syfire mountains you will want to recharm your pet as its a nice little hike/flight to get another one at the stonehoof or howling stones "pet shops". </p>

If you're spending time in Jarsath Wastes, get friendly with the Danak shipyard folks.  They actually have a dog kennel next to the main gate where you can find some friendly pets to adopt.Seriously, level 83 dogs kick butt.

#11 ...  Always use your pet to kill off his/her family members right away.  You really don't want them coming after you for vengeance and the family may hesitate when fighting your pet giving you the advantage and some good xp.  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

#12 To reduce the risk of your charm failing, use a good cologne and smile a lot.

#13 Dont believe in luck of any sort , get +subjugation  gear ... boost that skill well beyond lvl cap.Or bring treats (refering to #4)And this rule #13 is just cursed ... if you believe it ...
