M1 Fuliginous Dominion decreases attack speed by 13.2, Adept III Fuliginous Whip decreases attack speed by 12.4.Slow seems a lot more important than any dps a defiler would do in a raid but that makes the adept almost completely worthless (aside from pvp and actually dpsing something).Maybe it's just my biased opinion, but I find if the upgrade to a spell decreases its raiding usefulness then the spell shouldn't be upgraded.  I know the upgrades to a lot of RoK spells are very small at adept III level, but this is a flat downgrade from that perspective.Thoughts? Or am I right in thinking it should be fixed to even be a LITTLE better as an attack speed slow?

<p>some abilities are wierd they show different numbers when they are actually scribed, due to buffs and such, not saying that is the reason but maybe possible. have you got the new adept 3 in your knowledge book or just seen the stats on the broker?</p><p>the upgrade is the most common i seen in master form btw along with panic, so dont lose to much sleep over this im sure most will have at master pretty quick</p>

<p>you might not notice a difference right now, but the M1 Dominioin will get resited more often on 80+ mobs, than the Upgrade of the Whip..  I know as far as numbers are conserned it sucks..but...what do you expect were defilers...they dont like us.</p><p>Thunderspear</p>

<p>Welcome to the club... is very common and across all classes.</p><p>There is a 7 page or so thread of it in Spells and Abilities (<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?&topic_id=395653" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=395653</a>) but sony hasn't said anything about it yet...</p>

Is it worth the upgrade? Coming from a slightly different perspective: If the lower level spell has a higher debuff value but doesn't land due to resists then its' effective contribution is 0. If the higher level spell has a lower debuff value but actually lands then its' effective contribution is better than the lower level version. No, it's not the optimal solution but it is better than not landing the debuff at all. Majo, 73 Guardian for Shadow Guard, Venekor

I think it is suppose to be an upgrade.  The dmg portion of the spell is an upgrade by a bit.  but the DPS debuff part is a decrease. If they can atleast just match the same dps debuff that would be fine, but now you have to choose whether you want more DPS, or more of a DPS debuff.
