I am a new to this game and playing a caster/ranged type for the very first time ever so maybe I come with some preconceptions from other games coming from a melee point of view. I have been looking into some of the AA lines here on the forums and I see practically everyone using the STR. AGI. WIS. lines of AA but I am not seeing any of the why's. Why would warlocks benefit more from not using intelligence or stamina lines? I have not looked into the lines in detail on my character since it is new as of last night so I do not know the abilities in them so a generalization should be enough. Thanks for any replies.

I don't remember all of the abilities off the top of my head, but I think it is more about the abilities gained from the line and not the base stat like int or wis.The wis line offers increased base damage, dmg absorbstion, and an increased next spell damage mod...which is pretty good stuff. Agi if I remember right offers faster casting and lower recast times. Str line I can't recall of the top of my head. The int line gave a next spell crit ability and something else, but over all I think the gains from say the wis line are far greater in terms of numbers.I am sure someone will come along and explain this much clearer than I, but for now you get the gist anyway.

Tho it's been list a ton here goes again

Str line - 4th item down increase crit chance more crits = more DPS

the last item in the line - activate it and next spell automatic crit damage

Agi line - increase casting speed faster casting = more spells per unit time = more DPS

Wis line - 4th item in line increase base spell damaqe obviously more DPS

Int line not a bad line for hate reducing but not really needed over all since many classes have hate transference buffs tho i do like the end ability to drop 2 spots on the agro list instantly

Don't even know what Sta line givesw since i never saw it as an option

actually it is the str line that grants forced crits. agi is like posted for faster casting and reuse timers, sta is for increased casting skills and manashield, wis focuses on base damage and mana cost for spells, int focuses on aggro reduction. on my lock i have str and wis. catalyst (force a crit for 20% health) + freehand sorcery (next damage spell has increased damage)= bigger booms.

What most people are talking about when they mention AA lines is for raiding. For somone who solo's more I would think STR/INT/STA would be the best lines.

Actually for solo I'd go Str for the crits, Sta for the Mana Shield and Wis for the ward and increased base damage.

The problem with the ward is its only for magic damage. If it was for all damage it woudl be usefull to solo. I find the +24 Def<I think not in game to see> from the int line more usefull.
