Hi all,

Just wanted to say hello in the Paladin forum. I played a paladin in Everquest to 57, and I've started playing Everquest 2 a few weeks ago after a few years away from online games like this. I'm now a level 21 paladin and loving the game and now feel that I need to get out a bit from Antonica. I'm questing and have 11 AA (in the crusader INT line), and collecting rare harvests to sell and make some cash.

I have a family so it's difficult for me to commit with groups, so for the most part, I'm soloing but chatting in the channels.

So my question is, where did you enjoy in your 20s and 30s and which parts of the zone? For the most part, I'll be on my own, but I'll be looking to find groups when I can.

Cheers, Russell

at 21? I spent alot of time there in the thundering steppes doing the quests from that dwarf just inside the zone (between gate and griffon tower). around 24, you can head down to the docks and take on the undead villagers for a couple levels, then you can move over around 26 or so to the ruins of Karana (SE griffon tower area) as there are lots of undead there. All soloable, if you are careful.

At 29/30, Zek/EL is great. Lots of quests and such.

I'm not all that fond of the Thundering Steppes, but that's probably just because I leveled 5 or 6 characters through there! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" /> Another good alternative for your 20s is the Butcherblock Mountains. Lots of quests on the docks and Fort Irontoe. I didn't take my Pally through there, but did with an Arasai alt. Heck, if you really want to boost your AA, turn off Combat XP, then do all the quests in both TS and Butcherblock! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />If you do head out to Faydwer, you probably want to run into Greater Faydark and talk to Sir Bayden Cauldthorn in Kelethin to start the Mithaniel Marr quests. The first one is good for the low 20s. And if you do scare up a group, head over to Crushbone Keep in Greater Faydark. Heck, you can even probably duo most of the zone once you hit the mid 20s, as a lot of it is not that hard. But there are an amazing amount of Discovery dings in there!I agree that EL and Zek are great after that. Zek also has the advantage of allowing you to farm for Blood Iron Ore drops from the miners and other mobs in the Blood Ore mine. The Blood Iron armor set is very nice at 37. The stats are roughly equivalent to the level 42 MasterCrafted armor, but you get to wear it 1/2 a tier sooner! And it has as a set bonus (don't remember what the Pally set bonus was <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" /> ). You can wear the armor from 37 until you replace it at 52 with Cobalt (Don't want to hold it any longer than that ... it starts to look a little shabby around 50).I also thought the Steamfont Mountains were kinda fun. You can start picking up stuff over there in the mid 30s. Gnomeland Security Headquaters is a blast. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />

If your low 20s, i would head to Timorous deep and do the few quests in mok rent that are towards ur lvl, good aa , and good gear rewards, i would even mentor to 15 or so and run more quests there for rewards and aa...

Then butcherblock like some people said, try get a group in mid 20-30 for crushbone keep, if not , all the quests in butcher should get u near 30, prolly 28-29, then Enchanted lands quests lines, Zek also, after that head to steamfont mountains.

After steamfont, u should be 40 or so, then head to Fearrot, quests there, after that comes sinking sands at 46 or so, after that Lesser faydark, try get some groups here and there also to run instances at least once for aa nameds etc, with this you should be close to 57-58, maybe more , head to tenebrous grounds in KoS, do quests there, then some in Barren sky, this should lead you to 60 or so , to head to lopping plains and bonemire, after all this , ull be near rdy to head to RoK expansion again =)

Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I spent some time in Nek Forest, Butcherblock and Thundering Steppes and I'm now level 33 with 26AA in the Int and working on the STA line now. I'm finishing off the quests before they grey out and I'm keen to see some dungeons now.
