has anyone seen the new legendary set for pallies? I've heard there is one, but no specifics...

In a way, there's two sets. Both are marked Guard/Zerk/Pally/SK.The actual "pally/SK" one is +75 to heals and +75 to spell damage at 3 pieces, and has a similar-to-the-Bayle-set heal-and-damage-on-melee-hit proc at 6 pieces. The Zerker/Guard set has +75 to combat arts at 3 pieces, and a different proc. They're Legendary, equippable at level 77, and the gloves and forearms are tradable, at least.Should be able to search the broker for 77, Legendary, Plate Armor. (Because, of course, the only set name I can recall now is the druid's Wayward Moon set... stupid memory.)

thanks. Still have a ways to go.

Would you people out there consider the set to be equalivent or better or worse than the EoF fabled set (which I don't have... yet). Need to know if it will be worth the problem of getting it...

One set is the Santification set - i.e. Greaves of Sanctification etc. these are the +75 to heals and spell damage ones. Another set is the Ravaged Onslaught set - i.e. Greaves of Ravaged Onslaught etc. These are the +75 combat art set. They arent too bad, pretty good stats, but health a little lower than best EOF fabled, pretty easy to get - just do a few runs through Crypt. I've had a couple pieces of the Sanctification set drop and one of the Ravaged Onslaught, plus Crypt Spaulders and Charred Boots drop in just a few runs.

I couldnt remember the stupid names either - had to go look!

HTH

The mit is good. I have the set pally gloves (which have a nice boost to INT) and the chest from crypt-- Which I got while on my Conjy - both are tradeable) I've seen all the guard / zerker stuff drop... If you are in there with Zerker / Guard, remind them they don't have spells or heals

I do like the fact that there are two types and wearable by both crusaders and warriors.

yah, was just wondering if it was going to be worth it to get the fabled set, or if the legendary set would be good enough to move into T8 raiding when I got there, noting that i'm a MT/OT most of the time when I raid.

The legendary set will be good enough to move into T8 raiding, although I seem to favor the Ravaged onslaught set and Im not sure why, prob the agi on it instead of wis. I got my third piece of Santification gear last night (last mob Vault of Eternal sleep) I got the chest slot item and the mit is like 556 - it is a nice piece - although the set seems to wis heavy to me - The Ravaged onslaught gear seems to offer more survivability - but I havent tested it thoroughly. Try for Crypt spaulders in Crypt and a couple pieces of ravaged onslaught and you should be set for entry level T8 raid gear. Seems a lot of T8 plate has disease and poison resist - so we may be in for a lot of damage in those areas - unfortunately those are my lowest resists.

HTH

I've noticed my EoF fabled is better or equal to many of these pieces. The arms with +35 combat art damage have almost the same exact stats as my EOF fabled arms. Because the level is higher I nearly switched it out but then I got the fabled arms to drop in Maidens. I have'nt really found anything worthy of switching the other pieces out for yet. Found the helm of sanctification but I think its bugged because it has +4 to some stat that is not listed on the helm and does'nt show in my stats. I prefer the +7 slashing on my current EoF helm which keeps me about capped. Swapped my fabled neck that had +7 defence for a fabled neck from Eternal Sleep with + Melee crit and +5 something else can't remember now. All and all with EoF fabled and two pieces of RoK fabled my mitigation is 56.0 vs level 80 mobs (unbuffed) and 55.0 avoidance. Unless I was going to go offence and not tank I would switch out more pieces for all the double attack and +melee damage pieces dropping. Thinking of just replacing the rest of the fabled with fabled from T1 raids. We just started raiding again although the zones we entered only have one raid boss. One raid boss in Thuuga and one boss in Executioners so gotta really hope something you want drops. I'm sure some of the other zones will have more bosses. Just have'nt seen them yet.

Edit: Almost forgot I also switched out my chest piece for a nice legendary from Sandstorm in Maidens (Eched sand or something like that). It has + double attack and a silence proc that effects heroics.

Has anyone found a shield worthy of switching out a EoF fabled shield or Claymore for in RoK? Still using Soulfire also and Anaphlaxis for 2h which although they nerfed it to legendary still hits really hard!

yah, my direction was more whether it was still worth it to get my EoF Fabled since I'm in predomintately KoS fabled now (I joined the raiding scene really late in the game) or just go after the legendary stuff instead as I'm closing on the right level for it

All I know is my KoS stuff is pretty much shot at this point and I'm seeing legendary pieces in RoK that beat it

Guess I need to do some math to see what is the best direction. Anyone have a link to the new RoK Legendary or stats on it?

Once I get back in town I'll piece it together for our wiki, Jal. I've seena few pieces of both sets floating around the PfR channel and can probably muster up some screenies and Armor Set pages this weekend.

sounds good bud... I pieced together a couple pieces from EQ2players, enough to get a feel of the mitigation. It seems that the legendary set is a small bit better in effective mitigation than the RoK Legendary, but I wasn't really able to compare much of the other things, like stats and such.

Remember that although the mitigation on a RoK legendary level 79 item might be 510 and the mitigation on a fabled EoF piece is 530 because the level of the RoK piece is higher the mitigation will be better.

I thought the RoK legendary set pieces were 77... Am I wrong with that then? But yes, at 77, a 530 mitigation piece that is level 70 is effectively only 482.

I have been noticing that some items are better for tanking from the ravaged onslaught set and some from the sanctification set. I have 4 pieces of the ravaged onslaught and it increases the damage of 12 of my "combat arts" by LOADS its awsome for DPS (the 3 set pieces add +75 combat art), Im not amazed by the 6 piece of either set so Im aiming to get 3 of each of the best (eg the hands of sanctification have +4 def which I want)

With 3 of the best u will have the best tanking ability (pick the ones with best def on them) then u will get +75 combat art +75 spell and + 75 heal.

IMHO

make sure you guys look at ALL the stats before changing em out.ive found some of the lvl 77+ legendary gear is WORSE then the 68 bayle set.the bayle set is quite good when it comes to mit and more importantly avoidance.it has a large amount of +defense on it, and as ive swapped out peices, ive noticed that while the bayle set might lose .2% from mit, it will ADD .6% to avoidance. and obviously the better avoidance over mit is better.Just an FYI. Like Ive found the Bayle chest is better then the Derklium legendary chest peice.freaking annoying really.

It's +75 to your CA.
