A loss this morning to a yellow defiler (I'm 17, he was 19) has me rethinking the way I've set up my character. It isn't the loss that gets me--it was how easily he made it look. He came out with about 80% life left, but granted almost all his power was exhausted. I don't think I dropped him below half.

My character is still making the transition from old mastercrafted/legendary items, with a few nice fabled items I could afford, to the new RoK treasured gear that lets you take over the world. I can probably drop a few items that add agility and get the ones with strength instead.

Also, is there any way at lower levels to prevent healers from healing? People have said wards are easily interruptable, but not from what I saw this morning. In that fight I used torporous strike as it refreshed, drank an MC T2 heal potion, and an MC T2 remedy. He still easily out-healed my DPS and slowly wore me down.

What other tactics can I use in these situations in the future? Do I just need to sit back when I see a solo defiler, and let him run by in peace? Hopefully not, because I don't think I could do that. Ideally I'd be able to have an even chance at killing any class, so hopefully this was a case of poor play and preparation on my part and not that his class or heals won for him.

At a higher level you would be able to beat the shaman, but low level shamans flat pwn if they are played well.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't really had time to dabble much into high level pvp. Tier 2 just takes so little time to gear up and is quite fun, except when fighting twinked healers.

Is there a good class at high levels that isn't too overpowered, but still has a good chance of beating most classes? Won't be in any sort of raid gear if I do level up, though. I've got a level 40 dirge right now but he's got very few AAs and it'd take a good deal of effort fixing him.
