View Full Version : Stormhammer Quest
Ok I'm trying to get "The Stormhammer" quest from O.C. Irontoe in BB Mountains, but he just says some dialog and gives me no quest. People mentioned I might need faction with the Irontoe Brigade before he gives the quest out? Is that true? I tried picking up the faction quest A Tale of Two Towers from Captain E.L. Irontoe, but I can't receive that quest also. Am I looking something over here and missing something staring me right in the face? or is he by chance bugged or broken? I also am lvl 73, might that be the problem? not yet able to give it to toons above 70?

You have to do the Hammer of Below Tome quest first.
meh, I know I was thinking that, guess I forgot to add that in. I have already done that tome quest, found some pages in kaladim and got the rest off the broker, then turned it in to my city collection dude. It tells me to keep the book on me after reading it, then go talk to the people I mentioned above. I've tried that and I cant pickup the quest like EQ2I tells me?!?! Any other suggestions?

Did you harvest the book also in the small cave behind the waterfall?
yup, you have to, to be able to turn it into the collection dude. I'm mass pulling bugbears currently getting my faction up, thats the only thing I can think of that might be holding me back from getting the quest. I guess I'll have to get up to 20/30 K faction and see what happens then.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Here's what I've done:1. Inspected the chest in Kaladim.2. Got the book (The Hammer of Below) in Kaladim to start the quest.3. Collected all the pages.4. Turned the collection into the collector at East Freeport. Grats he says...5. Gone to Butcherblock and had a chat with O.C. Irontoe - <b>book was in inventory</b>. He says some garbage and then doesn't give me the next quest either...I haven't thought of faction however according to EQ2i, faction is not necessary (no mention of it).Oh and I already speak Serilian.I think this is bugged.Edit: Fixed Typos.. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/908627bbe5e9f6a080977db8c365caff.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

Been a long time since I did it, but IIRC you need 10k with the dwarves. Or whatever amout it is that the Dwarven Ringmail Tunic HQ gives. Maybe Im thinking of something else.

<p>Not to start off on a bad note, but glad it's just not me!</p><p>I, too have experienced problems in obtaining the quest. I have inspected the chest in Kaladim. I have found the book in the cave. I have completed the collection tome. I have turned the tome in. I have 50k positive faction with the Irontoe Brigade. I keep the tome on my person when I speak with O.C. Irontoe.</p><p>And nothing... just a long sentence ending with "get to work!"</p><p>/cry</p>

Just on the subject of Faction, I have +45,500 faction with the Irontoe Brigade, so I don't think faction is the reason why Mr Irontoe won't give me the quest. This quest is borked. SOE, please fix it (same with Hoo'Loh in Barren Sky).

<p>I have been having some issues with this quest as well.</p><p>My first problem was that I foolishly decided to try and solo the Haunted Vault (since I am now 75) not knowing that the zone in wasn't a safe spot. I found myself in a spot of trouble so I evacced, which took me back out to Kaladim. I got myself some extra help and headed back only to find out that it would not let me highlight the door at all and therefore I was not able to zone in. It seems to me that the quest doesn't allow for you to fail the Haunted vaults part and as soon as you get the quest update for zoning in, you cannot go back.</p><p>My second problem is that I looked at my quest and decided that I was not that far into it so I decided to delete it and start again to try and work around my first issue. Now I find that, like the rest of you, I am stuck as O.C. will not offer me the quest again.</p><p>I have bug reported both of these issues separately and petitioned the last one. I haven't had a response yet as this all happened over the weekend. When I get a response, I will post an update.</p>

What they did was take my character for a little run while I wasn't on and work him back up as close to where I was in the quest as the logs would verify. I zoned in, evacced and then zoned in again with no problems. So basically, if I am to get any help with this, I am going to have to get everyone caught up to me.</p><p>They did give me a warning not delete any quests that aren't repeatable in future. That is fine but how am I supposed to tell if this can be restarted or not? And also, if it cannot be restarted, then you really shouldn't be allowed to delete it in the first place. Not to mention that this quest looks like you should be able to restart it but it is currently bugged.</p><p>With so many points of confusion I really do think someone should take another look at this quest and fix it up a bit.</p>

<p>I've had this quest in my journal for a while now. I jsut tried to go back to it only to get stuck in the Haunted Vaults. I completed all 3 ghost quests but the journal did not update as I spoke to the ghosts. The quests show completed and repeatable. HELP!</p>
