I have real problems - i get overladed so quickly since mage items in RoK have a seem to be lacking of str on them I guess str is not a primary mage stat but still...

I just checked my stats - if i wear my new t8 mage gear - my str is 31, my int is 646 non buffed and Icant carry full bags at all. I become heavily over burdoned. This is just seems so out of balance.

Someone at some point decided that strength was a useless stat and not important to mages, only to fighters and scouts and possibly melee priests.

My cloth wearers keep on their personage at least one fighter-geared piece of jewelery or weapon with a high amount of strength specifically for the purpose of being able to carry bags without becoming overburdened.

What Sapphirius said ^^^Basically it's up to you how you balance your stats, either get an item with a little STR on it or select STR as one of your character development options instead of INT.

not a problem for wizards since we have a nice str self-buff but I can see how it would be an issue for other mages

Double the problem for locks who dont self buff STR or INT. If it werent for AA's, I'd prolly have no STR at all!

This is a major problem for furies as well. In KoS our fabled gear had a small amount of STR--not a lot, but enough so that we could carry around plenty of swap gear and loot. Starting in EoF, and continuing in RoK, nearly all priest gear is lacking STR of any kind.Dev, people do not use STR only for melee damage. Having a little bit of it on your gear is essential to not becoming overburdened in a hurry.

Bring a STR hex doll or two, or a STR potion (I think they still exist).

I do keep a +30 str item for running around but if i want to take it off for combat I suddenly cant run away! Even worse since items swapping in combat was taken away. Had no problems in KoS. This is now just a complete pain. And spell damage encourages the max'ing of int so its hard to balance stats. My favourite complete outfit has no str on it at all =

I have the Str line for enchanters as my third line, though with only 32 str coming from the AA line itself. That line is for getting into melee - it gives melee crit, double attack, melee haste, etc. Without potions or hex dolls devoted to Str, I think my Str is 206 (my profile on eq2players.com is only 173 at the moment due to what I wear in my secondary slot when soloing vs. raiding).RoK items for mages with Str that I have:Book of Immortals (33 Str, drops from solo named in JW)Runed Guard of the Sel'Nok (5 Str, faction item from Sel'Nok)Unglued Alchemist's Amulet (25 Str, quest reward)Envy's Cowl (26 Str, from The Protector's Realm t1 raid zone)

So I am not the only one huh?

I carry 5 32 slot boxes and before ROK this wasn't a problem. Now it is a real PITA

So much for balanced stats on gear.
