Bertoxx Diety Quest Line

Have any other Sarnak Necromancers run into a problem starting the Bertoxx Diety Quest Line? Each time I speak with Eralok Riz'Rok he tells me to leave him alone he's grieving.<span class="postbody"><span class="pn-content-page-body"> Can't figure out what the problem is, even asked in the </span></span><a rel="nofollow" href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?start=15&topic_id=392798" target="_blank">Quests, and Live Events</a> forum, but didn't get a responce from anyone.The only thing I can think of is it's because I am from <span>Gorowyn. While the Sarnak are considered an evil race, maybe the actual City of </span><span>Gorowyn isn't considered evil? Maybe I need to be aligned with Freeport, or Neriak?Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?</span>

It shouldn't be an issue, if you're a Necro you're a Necro and that should be good enough. Are you currently worshipping any Deities besides Bert?On the other hand, you could try switching your citizenship to Freeport or Neriak and see if you can get the quest then. It's relatively painless to switch to Neriak citizenship (you basically just run around Neriak for an hour and hail people), and you don't lose any of your spells either. Then after you get the quest, switch back to Gorowyn as your city.And be sure to /bug it, if you think being a Gorowyn citizen is the problem.

<p>One of my alts is a Sarnakian necro from Gorowyn. You have to be level 20 to start the deity quest.</p>

The only problem i have experience with this if i have hailed another diety npc therefore are aligned with someone else. Then it isnt enough to just delete the quest, you have to renounce that diety at the altar. If that is not the case with you it seems likely its a bug and you should report it.

Did you speak with Hrath first?  On <a href="http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Believe_in_Me" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Believe_in_Me</a> where it says "Step 1" that's after you've GOTTEN the quest, not the first thing overall to do.  As the top of the page says:  <b>Starting the Quest</b> Speak to <a href="http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Hrath_Everstill" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Hrath Everstill</a> ( 2640.08, 120.53, 1115.37&nbsp<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />   All of the quests on eq2.wikia.com are formatted that way, where you need to GET the quest, THEN follow the "steps" below.Hope that's the issue here.

I was actually able to finish the first, and second part of the quest line last night, now I've just got to get more levels for the next part. Thanks everyone for the help, it's appreciated.
