Well where to start. After giving the troops some time off to level and enjoy the new expansion we decided to get back into raiding.

Off we head to the Tomb Of Thuuga. Clear the trash. Pull named a few times, get the strat down and away we go. Now comes the fun. Bugged scripts. We have an attempt where the Named in Caccooning people 2 at a time every few seconds. Reset try again. We have an attempt where we get 30 odd spawned spider adds in a few seconds. We only know how many as they did not depop after the named was reset and they all sat on top of each other in the corner and had to be manually cleared.

At this point we decided to zone out and hope that reset her encounter. Zone back in and found the zone fully repopped aka we were not in the original persistant instance. Petitioned but no joy before the end of our raid time so we had to leave it there. Very frustrating after 5% and 3% attempts. While on the subject of zoning in is the zone not supposed to zone the raid in when the raid leaders clicks in. We had to zone in individually.

Just curious as I liked the idea behind the script, didn't take much to work out and will soon be beaten as an entry level raid should but it shows potential for the higher level raids if the scripts are similar. Not the same odl thing. Sadly it also shows the potential for the higher tier raids to be just as bugged script wise.

Just so I know if this is a bug or normal, if she supposed to keep spawning spider adds as you burn her down. That seemed normal so didn't list it as a bug here (other than the insta 30 pop).

Sark.

We zoned in right after you guys had zoned out (literally) and cleared everything np. Didn't notice any screw ups or bugs with the script / encounter ... maybe you were just 'lucky' =. There was another guild in the zone at the same time you guys were, but I'm pretty sure they were still there when we killed her too (just have vague memories of tarinax / gardener stuffing up if there were other guilds doing it at the same time)

vortfu

Yeah we cleared the zone with no problems besides our own! <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Seems to be working just fine.

Don't get me wrong. The zone didn't seem overly difficult. And seemed to work on our first couple of pulls while we got the strat down. But after we had the 5% wipe is when things started going pearshaped. And having been through the script a couple of times, its pretty obvious when things are radically different between attempts.

To those thast mentioned it yes we mezzed the spider adds, that seemed pretty straightfprward (yah for chanters having a place on raids again).

Gratz on the clear btw Nexus.

Don't like the idea of a non persistant version of a persistant zone. Seems a contradiction on terms to me. With only 1 named in the zone, I would prefer if it engaged some sort of lock once the first trash has been killed or even once all the trash has been cleared. And I don't like the individual zone in either.

Sark.

Also the Execution Throne Room also has the non-persistence problem, since it has only 1 named. But then, doesn't take very long to clear the 18 trash (30 mins), and 5 mins to kill her. So a lack of persistence is only 30 minutes raiding. We have not seen any bugs in the script. Everything you describe seems to be the way it works.

We got the add spiders is waves, had them nicely mezzed as per previous attempts and didn't see any raid deaths happening. They just kept popping every few seconds.

The double cacooning we encountered on other attempts was no biggie. The time we had hassles and I believe was a buf was when it begain double cacooning right off the bat and continued to do so every 15-20 seconds. Not only was the cacoon rate faster than previous attempts it was always a double. It wasn't long before half the raid was cacooned (very hard to free anyone when half are sacced).

Either way its not a big problem. We went back in a few days later and cleared it without incident. As I said I didn't think it was that hard, just strange we encountered what we consider bugs right off the bat. maybe just unlucky. I can't say I liek the individual zone in and non persistant nature of the raid zone, but if thats the standard we will adjust.

Sark.

The spider adds can multiply due to the Necrosis from Tairiza and having too low DPS. We did it last night with 6 (2 waves of 3) adds in total. The double cacooning sounds like when Vilucidae used to decide to keep his Stance from the previous wipe Evil [Removed for Content]
