i played less than a year and stopped a lil after the first expansion. since i had nothing else better to do so i picked up the expansions to this game and im playing again.

things arent as i remember. my spells, *seem* to get resisted a lot more than in the past. i know im not working with anything great, all adept 1s but the few masters they give for free, however killing creatures seems slower to me.

i could use some help/advice on what i should do/trive for with my lvl 37 wizard. i could also use some advice on how to get faster cash so i can upgrade my low 30s gear. thx

fast, I don't know, but not too low : HARVEST. Then all your spells will be adept3, and the big majority of them is better at AD3 than the lower one at M1. I only have a big doubt about the solo root.

I'm not a new player but I do have a wizard character for the first time (thought I'd try sarnak & wizzie and seen how I liked the two). Resists went up a while back but I didn't realise they would be this bad for a wizard. I rolled an Illusionist a few months back and resists were so bad I spent my first 20 AA on reducing resist chances on my mezze.I do know that getting the stats up to maximum is a must in reducing resists. So get subjugation to maximum for the roots and interrupts, disruption up for the damage and ordination as well I guess. Maxing Focus should reduce you getting interrupted, but whether this works correctly I don't know! I trotted off to some grey mobs to get the stats up once I got to level 20 (and did a couple of L&L at the same time). When the stats are maxed the resists are less, but they are still far too high (at least at my level) for the play to be enjoyable (guess I should say that the mobs I'm fighting are either even or one below my current level and my minimum level spells are adept IIIs).On the Wizard AA's there are resistability reductions available but only on the cold based spells. Sadly I won't be getting anywhere near them until I've got manaburn and spent some in the shielding line. That's assuming I play the character that long. I know I should expect deaths as a wizard, but dying because of resists is just depressing. I'm going to try and keep going, because players do seem to enjoy this class in the higher levels.
