Ok just got off the phone with a CSR and apparently a patch broke it and they are having to go through line by line of code and figure out what line broke it.No ETA but according to the gentleman on the phone (which i know its protocol to say this) it is a high priority to get resolved.

Im hoping they come up soon, got a friend that wants to join us and if its to much longer instead of behind us catching him, it will be him needing to catch us.However after reading the server issues they are having in the general forums... transfers may not be the biggest priority

Please resolve this issue asap. I want to move a toon, and it's very annoying not to be able to (let alone that it costs 50 bucks). I want to continue playing somewhere else, but if that's not possible in a foreseeable future, I might be persuaded to leave eq2 and join another game.

Can I ask that the Character Transfer service NOT be made available again if you are currently discussing (internally) whether to offer free transfers.I got caught out last time when we were told catagorically that account-account transfers would not be allowed during the free transfer period. I stupidly took the word of the 'red name' as gospel and paid $50 to move a character from account-account... less than 24 hours later they announce that account-account transfers would also be allowed.*shakes fist at red name*

<p>I was told by a phone rep that the website was down and they were doing moves manually. I'm beginning to wonder about that. He told me to send in a manual form and give it three weeks. I'm outraged at that wait but nothing I can do. Perhaps it wont take that long. I think sony owes us a free transfer for the hassel.</p>

I wonder if sony has a clue... People came back to the game with the new expansion.. Quite a few probably found either A) their friends switched servers (free transfer or whenever) or B) Their friends on the server they are on left the game and they want to get on the server their other friends are on...... yep, couple of friends and I just started, we had a few friends join us with higher toons, but on other servers. Sadly... they cant play with use atm.Just checked, still down.

called soe tonight & asked them bout the manual transfer thing. they said the queue's pretty large for it, but emailed me the form which i filled out immediately & emailed back. he said that's the only way atm & they have no eta on the other. *sigh* so yeah a week. so needless to say, had to empty my broker boxes & everything to be prepared for whenever it goes through. my luck, ill be in an instance, go ld, log back in & have to send a tell from kith sayin "yeah, sorry, getta new healer to finish. im over here now." *sigh*

Sounds like they are stallingI suspect the system is really down because they don't want people jumping server at a time when the servers are so unstable.IMHO there's more going on here than meets the eye.

I spoke with a guy named brian, was a real jerk on the phone to me..told me they arent doing manual moves...I am gonna call back and ask for a supervisor. This is complete bull crap..what is it are they manual xfering or not..I wish we could get some response from a representative..this is however the OFFICIAL game forums.

Gotta love it when tech support gives multiple people multiple answers.With places like Verizon and AT&T customers cant talk to each other easily to find out, but with MMO's its pretty easy to catch the company in contradicting statements.Hopefully they will either do manual transfers for all, not just a select few, or they will get it fixed.

OK! A response finally!Got a CSR Named Ed..very nice guy very helpful..said that the automated system is down they arent sharing an ETA yet, but manual transfers are up and they will email you the form..

Regarding the above, chat support is horrible. Everything they say is copy/paste responses, because some of the responses are so idiotic you wouldn't think someone actually said it. They ask you information that you clearly state in your original question, answer questions that have nothing to do with what you're looking for, etc. They never make my situation better.

They honestly must only have 1 CSR person manning the phones, and he doesn't seem to have working ears. The CS in this game has always been really poor, but it's getting even worse, the only real way I see to get out of this character transfer mess is for them to give free transfers when they get everything up and running.

I called them because i was not going to send my cc info through an email and the CSR filled it out for me no problem, but interesting thing is, check this out. I just got a reponse to my petition from a GM. His response says that the manual service is down too..Sounds like someone isnt telling something or we are getting the run around. Either way this customer service is about the equivalent of a monkey screwing a football.

Ok...I've tried everywhere to get SONY to fix the dam Charictor transfer service. It's been down for almost two weeks. I tried clearing my cache and everything else as per the instructions. I even had a sony response of "the service is now back up and running" I sent 5 e-mails and complaints. HELLO.....it's not working! SONY please fix the service. I was able to transfer one toon, then it broke. The website is NOT working properly.You want my 50 bucks or not.Frustrated at the lack of support here.P.S. I tryed 4 different computers, two different IPs, 2 different homes. It is NOT working.

This is real frustrating, considering my character is stuck on one server and my friends are on another. I can't play with my friends, and I'm not having fun harvesting untill transfers come back up. I'm not even able to play right now because I can't be with the people I want to play with, on the server I want to be on. I don't think posting an ETA would do any harm at all, considering how many people want to transfer. Considering all the trouble we've been put through, I think free transfers when it's back up wouldn't be a bad idea.

Clarifying, I put in a manual request Monday and was transfered Friday. My name was even changed for me Saturday. They did a good job considering the problems. I had all my AAs reset and stuff in my overflow but nothing I couldn't fix. Perhaps it was some "old" method they used or just some experimenting but I'm greatful.

Well in SOE's defense, the transfer service in general has been buggy and up and down nonstop for 2 weeks. So you may just be getting through when the transfer service is totally down.I would try again, I was told Monday or Tuesday for my xfer and I put in the manual request on Thursday.

Yeah funny because they make a lot more on manual requests it seems. At least that is what the last post by SOE eluted too.I hope it is up again soon..but hey they probably will release 3 more LUs and added content than fix the problems that started with the release of LoN. it seems to me just because people are stupid enough to buy all those extra sets of cards it is probably a bigger money maker for them at this time than the regular player so that is where the effort will be. I just wish they would have released that as a stand alone external game. The servers would still work and nothing would be broken. Problems with zoning and servers started on the day LoN was released ( I am keeping a log of releases and problems) and the problems are still ongoing yet we had updates, the release of Kunark and several updates to Lon and all the tournament crap with SOEs associated chat spam. Come on SOE if you have to bite the bulled, disable that useless card game until you have something that throughly works and give us back working servers and services.J.C.

And working fineMinor snafu with AAs and inventory but nothing that can be fixed within minutes of login. One bit of advice, if you have a character that has ammunition or anything in the secondary ranged slot get it out or it will more then likely end up in the overflow. There you will have to remove each "arrow" (knife or whatever) piece by piece..It took some time with 800 arrows. Other than this ...I love it.J.C.

Still not working right.... ....and now the above error message is alternating with, when you get to the page that says, "What kind of service would you like?" and choose account->account; server->server or account->server/account, it simply keeps reloading that page over and over. *sigh*
