I was just curious which factions have thet best weapons and armour for us rangers?

Alas, still working through my solo questlines, I'll be checking into Teren's Grasp but I don't believe there is anything special there for Rangers. Otherwise, I'm sure there are plenty of level 80 Rangers who have mowed down the new expansion content like soft grass who can fill us in on the Best Faction For Ranger details. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/49869fe8223507d7223db3451e5321aa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> (Maybe this would be a good candidate for a sticky thread once it gets filled with useful information.)

<p>I've found a decent Chest piece from the Renegade faction(to the left of Jinsk up the hill) in KJ - think it has a 1-2% ranged crit, some +ranged one other decent ability and about the same stats as our KOS Relic Chest.  </p><p>There was a belt from the Reets faction (frogs near Selibis) in KJ that had good stats with some + attack speed maybe and about + 40 CA damage.</p><p>The above is just from memory so I may be a bit off, but it was two things that i was looking at getting, however they are talking about toning down the effects on some of the ROK items so I'm not sure if these will get effected.</p>

Teren's grasp has a ring with +2 ranged crit, some + ranged and some boots with +1 or +2 ranged crit and some ranged.Synod Reet have a belt with +1 ranged critHidden Plunderer's camp has a breastplate with +2 ranged crit, +5 rangedI think those are the main ones, there are plenty of other minor things to find though.

<p>The Impetious Strikes Set is nice.</p><p>Arms have +2 Ranged Double Attack and the 3 set Bonus is +2 Ranged DA on top of that.</p><p>Sandstorm Scalemail 30 STR, 15 sta, 42 Agi. +1 Ranged Double attack chance.</p><p>There also various quests with +5 Ranged Mod armor etc <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Sorry I must have had my faction camps wrong - the chest piece that I was thinking of comes from the Hidden Camp faction (near the city of mist in KJ).  Not certain on the stats but I think STR was about in the 25 range and it's the one Deterrent is talking about.</p><p>I've seen plenty of items with Frostsworn (sp) proc on it from quests, currently I have a 2 belts, and a neck piece.  I think I've muted a few others as well.  The stats are not great but the slow proc really helps out.  There also some Reet gloves (quest reward again I believe) that has a nice stun proc on it.   </p>

The scorpid faction in Jarsath also has a wrist reward with 30 STR that procs stun - and works on ranged.It is very very nice combined with Raincaller for soloing.

Got most of this today while - finally - hitting 80.<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/mentla/Rng.jpg" alt="" border="0" />Footwound get's resisted a lot but SMASH seems to be awesome for soloing.

Where is that earring from ? 2 ranged crit on ear *drool*Edit: Forgot to add the 2 ranged crit necklace from Sel'Nok quests in Jarsath to my original post. Done now!Edit2: And I've dropped Footwound gear - I'm focusing on healing proc gear, mez-on-attacked gear and ranged stun gear for soloing. Beween fettering, Snare Shot and Rope, we have a decent amount of snare options.

Yay!And ding 80 too <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Where was that ranged crit earring from, Clarrice ?One person in the 70-79 said it was from the Ryzlik's Renegades (sp?) faction i Kunzar, but you needed a lot of faction with them to get the quest.I have 31.000 faction or so - and I don't remember seeing a quest with that reward. Could it be that you need Ally to get the quest ?

The Diz'ok stud?  Pretty sure it's a collection item.  Servers are down for an SOE Brief Update (TM) so I wont be able to check for some hours.

Besides the Fens bow, I haven't gotten any other ranged DA items.
