I have been trying out both.. trying to figure out which one to take as my main.I've never been that great with melee pvp though due to lag.. will that hurt me with monk? it seems like eq2 is a little more forgiving in the lag dept. unlike wow.

Ok I am not trying to make fun of you but you do realise you asked an apples or oranges question. It depends on what you like, because if you choose something based on everyone elses opinion you are doomed!

As far as Tanks go the Monk isn't bad but not the best PvP tank in the game. Same goes for the Fury. They are not the best PvP Healer in the game.

That being said, do you prefer melee or casting? Regardless both will become repetative in nature...just save yourself some time and roll a scout

Coercer...one-shot pet means you don't have to melee or cast...so lag will never be an issue.

And, you have to grind 65+ levels to use them! Both classes are good for PvP. Furies peak in T3-T5. whereas monks get better the higher they go. One thing to think about: Fury master will be more expensive, and people may think less of your pvp achievements if you're a Fury.

What class is for pvp is going to be the most lenient towards lag. I know in WoW ranged dps classes were the most lag friendly. Monk doesn't seem like it would be, but then again lag in general in EQ2 doesn't seem as bad as It was in WoW.
