Ok, now I might be the only one who thinks this, but then again, I might not.The appearance of the Scout and Mage pets from Adept 3 and Master 1 look almost identicle.Scout pet: Changes from white katanas to two red katanas a minor dress change and that is it! What you could've done is kept the adept 3 version how it is, but change the Master 1 version to be wielding two red katanas and dressed in an outfit similar to the one Mayong is wearing (I am aware that Mayong is not a scout, but this is what I look forward to as a necromancer). In the past we've had all the changes from adept 3 to master 1 visual and aesthetically cooler than the previous rank, but for T8 this didn't happen.Mage pet: Is there even a change from adept 3 to master 1? Okay, maybe the garb she's wearing got a little deeper hue of red and her bust might've been enhanced, but other than that there is no change!! why not make her outfit a deep red and her body black (more in the style of a real Black Widow) for the master 1 version, adjust her skin pigments to be more of a purple-ish.Tank pet: I LOVE the progression of our tank pet, you can really tell the difference between an adept 3 pet and a Master 1 pet, because the Master 1 pet just looks more badass on its Nightmare and helm and new shield.I realize that it might be too late to change it now, but just make the pets more rewarding for the necromancer to look at.

I still love how the best thing we can complain about aestically speaking about or new pets is that they barely change from version to version. Our Conjy cousins on the other hand got the complete bone from the soe art team.

Fix the conjie pets first, then tweak ours if you have the time.

To be honest I don't see what people's problem is with the pet graphics. I have the master scout myself and have compared it to the Ad3, and it looks a tonne better. You already mentioned the dress change and red blades, but even the hair looks better on the master (pulled back pony tail Versus I couldn't be a*sed to brush my hair).

Compare the level 60 scout pet Master > Ad3... a dress change and red blades? Where have I seen that before..

I'm probably gonna get pummeled for saying this, but I wish there wasnt a quality level graphical difference at all. It significantly increases master pricing due to the visible nature creating a bragging right. Ive been quietly hoping that the mage pet lack of visual of upgrade will make the master more affordable.

The MAIN reason the master pets cost more money is the look value.

Not to say people would not charge a lot, but many will buy the pets or desire them more simply for the change in look.

Adept 3 tank pet and adept 3 coil. The small dmg increase in coil will not make anyone even really care to go out and spend too much for the master, but a tank pet master on the broker and someone may pay 100p just to get it, when the overall bonus is neglible but the increase in the graphics is a lot.

I wish we could return to the EQ1 days when we only had 1 version of each spell and endgame encounters werent balanced around everyone being 100% fabled/mastered.

Pummel away.

It is an interesting point.

Let's say that the Adept3 version or our mage pet is the female drachnid mage pet. Unfortunately, I'm casting the male version, but let's say I could cast the female version.

Let's also say that the master version of our mage pet is the Agony model (forgot the race name) that it was on beta.

In that case, I would not pay a single plat for the master pet. And bear in mind that my necro is my raid main! And I'll bet I'm not the only raider who would do exactly that.

That being said, the "value" of the mage pet would drop from 150p to 15p or some such low number. Yessir, I would be a happy adept3 user until at least T9.

It's frustrating, especially when I see Master I Summon Servant being sold for 5p on the broker. As a new player, I can't afford 5p!

I was quite disappointed to see the t8 Scout pet appearance. I was very fond of my Nightshade Master (platonic... no really). Now I have to be followed everywhere I go by a blond headed pretty boy wearing a blouse and a broach. I have the Adept 3, assuming the master version is the same gender. I'll be using skelly form on him often

Ya, looken at the new male scout pets apearence , *cough* can anyone say boys to men. I dont use the scout pet much anyways unless im in a group but ya the only thing his apearnce does is get the horny ogres in big bend to fork out there coppers quicker :p Ya the only thing scarry looking about it is the lighty apearnece it has , so unfreeportian......................how does stuff like this make it threw quality control at sony?

Again, I point to the fact that conjies got it a thousand times worse than we did. Our scout, depsite it being a "pretty boy" is heads and shoulds above the crappy vanishing, pulsating rainbow MONK that they got.

The worst thing we have to gripe about our pets is their genders... I say we band together with our conjuror cousins to get their crappy scout and mage models changed before ours get a minor tweak. After all, during beta, from what I have heard, they listened to all our suggestions, but completely ignored the conjies pet suggestions.

I hate the way the scout pet looks, I hate the fact that our mage pet is now gender based. I can see myself spending alot of time with the Undead Knight

It's just that it pales so much to the female mage pet. Combine my opinion that it's not a bad graphic with the horrible, yet ignored, graphics for the conjurors and I seriously get the impression that we will never win the gender battle with the devs.

So, I'm sitting here looking at my Undead Knight Master I (down 100p now ) and wondering how he compares in offensive stance dpswise to my adept3 mage pet during a raid. I have pulled out my tank pet so many times during a raid because neither the scout nor the mage could take the AE that I was forced to stand in range of (Gardener fight for example).

How anyone ever seriously run those kind of number comparisons?
