Help!! Faction

How in Gods name are you supposed to get the faction required for some status items? Writs get you like 100 at a time. I just saw an item that required you had 40k faction with the trading company...  Are there other ways to get faction that I don't know about?

Still a long haul for the crafter, non-adventurer though.</p><p>I've got the faction with my 75 bruiser, 70 weaponsmith, but see no rewards worth buying and have yet to be convinced to level WSing. For adventurers all of the factions have a bunch of quests you can complete that, besides rewards, give anywhere from 400 to 1000 faction points. In fact I think just about every quest in RoK gives faction with one group or another. If you're a crafter with low adventure level, I think you might be stuck with writs though (which were recently adjusted to give 750 faction points).

Seems to me the OP is talking about city writs which give +100 faction with the tradeskill faction and +150 with the other city guilds. The faction merchants do have items you can purchase from them. The items you seem to be referring to from the tradeskill guild are things like the titles and display cases which require ally faction to attain. If these are the factions you are referring to, No, there is no other way to build faction with those city guilds and yes it takes like 350 writs to max out your faction levels with them.

okay now i'm just even more confused... what quests give you 750 faction and with what? I'm talking about the guilds like Priest, Scout, Fighter etc.... What other factions should I be worrying about...????Also crafter writs give you trading company faction but the merchant wants coalition faction to buy items.. what is that???

<p>Aye, the original city writs and tradeskill tasks do not give enough faction at this time. These writs and tasks need to be increased. Status Quo zealots please note, I am not asking for +5K per. Anything under 500 per writ does not make sense. At 500 it would take 100 (currently 334) completed writs to max faction, and 200 from -50K*. Barring that type of change they need to allow the same NPCs from writs when killed reward 10-50 faction per kill. That request is not out of order, given the fact that NPCs from many zones reward and punish players for about 50 and 100 retrospectively for each kill.  <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> </p><p>* The Academy of Arcane Science has NPCs in the Forest Ruins and The Graveyard that give neg faction when killed. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>
