With the new racial traits what makes the best Coercer?

pretend they don't exist and choose whichever you want.none of them really make that big of a difference anyways. Everyone overreacted when racial changes were announced.

Racials aren't all that. That being said Erudites do get aura vision which is handy for spotting potential mage/priest pets. Mind you that there are plenty of lists about the net (some are stickied in this very forum) that list mage/priest pets by tier so its not that huge of a thing. It's just nice not having to check a list, you just look for the mobs that glow.

I chose Arasi, glide is helpfull as well as unseelie form (yes you can sorta float around stuff easier) but over all I think everyone gets a fair shake ...

I chose Erudite for the Aura Sense. As pointed out elsewhere, if you have no mob knowledge or guide at hand, it is a great help.

You could go for looks and choose an Arasai! I love how my arasai can be made over to colour-match whatever Im wearing at a particular point in time. There's a new robe in RoK that looks nice, swirly blacks and dark reds. Goes great with my red eyes and hair, and dark red wings with black trimmings Plus being a teeny tiny fairy dragging around a massive wurm in Kylong Plains is amusing

Me loving being a ratonga, Coercer, that +15% move while invis is great

I chose Sarnak for RP reasons, but I love the movement speed buffs. I have the 5% permabuff and the 50% for 36 seconds buff is awesome too. It stacks with SoW totems, so I can have 36 seconds of 79% runspeed every five minutes... very handy (this is true for Kerra too, I believe).

One downside to Sarnak is that they are really tall, so you'll often find yourself crouching in dungeons. The Ratonga illusion we get at 30 is a good antidote to this problem.

Oh, I can also breathe fire. 'Nuf said.

I picked Sarnak for the mini-SoW and the 2% less chance to be resisted tradition. The 5% movespeed is also great. For what it's worth, I'm a PvP Coercer, so the mini-SoW, lowered chance to be resisted, and passive movespeed are all very nice.

Fae because it's funny seeing a wisp of a character controlling huge monsters to do my bidding. The only reason why I did a few quests in Thundering Steppes was to charm up a giant and have it stomp around the docks and scare the new players.

I went with Erudite long ago mainly for Aura Sense to easily detect those mage/priest mobs and for the wisp that we could summon before (it would also trigger our reactives if hit by any AoE). Now they have taken that wisp away But now I got an extra encounter damage spell, increased casting speed and I can float like a Fae!

I chose Human a long time ago. After they changed I really like the Human Diplomacy skill. It is an aggro radius reducer. I have used it with a lot of success in Runnyeye pulling named heroics without getting an add.
