Recently I petitioned a player who was OBVIOUSLY using an exploit as well as harassing other players by stealing their nodes and (I heard from several other players) cussing at them in tells when asked to stop.

Another toon was the one reported. I love where the first GM thought I was reporting myself (Gout).

"Greeting Gout,Thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment In-Game Customer Service. This is GM *screened for GM security* at your service.I understand that you suspect Gout for using a third party program to harvest nodes in the game. "

This part made me laugh hard. I realize they get busy and probably use ~forms~ to respond, but this one took the cake! I want to thank that GM for replying as well as the second GM for following up to make sure I wasn't the culprit. Thank you to both GMs for working on this and making sure it was corrected as well as the original culprit followed up on.

Mine's a different kind of funny, but I had petitioned because I was missing my Cake and Vodka rewards even after they fixed the missing 4-Year Veteran reward (separate issues). It was elevated to a Senior GM, who replied with the following:"Greetings, Krixxis,GM C__________ here. I hear that you're not able to claim your Vodka and Birthday Cake, which I was able to confirm in-game. While I would advise you that too much vodka may impair your ability to ride a mount, and birthday cake may give you cavities, I won't deny you the opportunity to find these things out for yourself. I've gone ahead and added these features to your account. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns in the future about this or another issue, and thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment!May your foes be worthy, your friends be true, and may platinum rain from the skies upon you,GM C__________Sony Online EntertainmentCustomer Service RepresentativeEverquest II"Bravo, sir! While the problem was nothing more than a minor inconvenience so I wasn't upset to begin with; the GM's reply making me and some other folks on the 10-19 chat laugh made it even better. It also makes it feel more personal, like the GM was actually investing time on the petition rather than just "Fixed kbye."Apart from my /petitions against botters/farmers having always fallen on deaf ears (canned reply with no results), any other issue I've had has always been handled professionally and promptly, barring extenuating circumstances (Holiday weekend for example. Thankfully I have never been left unable to play like many were recently over the weekend).Guides and GMs, keep up the good work. It's nice to feel like at least someone on the other end cares once and a while.
While these things are funy GMs/CSRs should be careful making practical jokes. However I gotta admit i'd be laughing my butt off at the vodka/cake comment.

Mine was over the weekend.. and it was funny at my own expense.I reported somebody for a very untasteful name as they ran by me in Nek woods while I was harvesting. I got a response something to the tune of "Thanks for your report.. we were unable to find anything improper with the name 'An Unearthed Ore'." (Or whatever the name of the ore node is in nek woods... I'm going on memory here)

I did respond and corrected myself.. but I half expected to get a mirthful response.. "Sorry.. its too late.. you're report against 'teabaglover' has been closed, but.. we have successfully banned the offensive ore in all zones. We don't suggest you post in the Tradeskill forums any time soon.. its getting ugly in there!"XD
