Hi,I was just wondering about this spell. I have spent 4 points on it to get the next one but I may be interested in this one action. Basically this spell reduces aggro range of an encounter. But I dont know if adding point increase only the duration of the spell or reduce the aggro range too (with 8 points near 0 ?). Actually with 4 point I find the aggro range quite large.Any experiences with it ?Thanks

I put 7 points into this one... it reduces resistability, which was my primary motivation for doing that. Also, higher ranks increase duration, so you can get more people to sneak past the mob. It's a great spell, though, as it allows you to ranged pull (with a spell or an arrow) and not worry about social aggro from mobs adjacent. Play with it for a while, especially while you're soloing. I think you'll find it's one of those things a coercer can really benefit from. My coercer is 41 now and I'm loving it.

My coercer is only level 23 and i recently got this ability . I put 4 points into it and then i tried to sneak past mobs that see invisibility and failed. I was around 15 feet from that mob and it was the only mob there that saw invisibility. Was i doing something wrong? Also, can this ability be resisted? If so then its a really bad one in groups.

Increased ranks increases duration and reduces resistability.

Rank 8 = 20.0s duration

It affects the entire encounter and I believe that it only causes aggro if the entire encounter resists the affect. Not positive on that part, but every once and awhile I use it and things come running.

I find it to be quite useful. Going to miss it when I'm no longer really doing any much other than raiding again and so the usefulness won't be there.

4 points and move on down the tree... imho. Kill all!

If I run into a see invis Heroic mob and don't think I can kill it.... suicide pet into it and use it as my next pet. If it's not charmable, well then that is just lame soe tactics.

I recently switched to the WIS line for RoK, since my T7 masters are still in full effect. The Sub/focus + is very nice and I'm enjoying the additional charm. It's actually nice additional dps, since it follows /pet attack. Awesome for pvp (I can actually compete with Troubs.)

Hmmm so for leveling if I have this maxed out would that mean that when I pull social mobs with it active I won't get a ton of extra mobs?

I've died alot because of this spell and my short memory. Daydream stops the mob's agro radius, you have to kiss the guys to make them attack, however social agro is different. In all my experiences with this ability they pacified mobs still come swinging whatever they happen to have handy in their hands (or what have you) if you go enter combat with a close neighbor of theirs. Here is where I'll protect myself saying that I get confused easily though... -Niro

Mobs tend to have a different range that they react based on proximity and range they react on based on hostile action.

That's why you see tanks proximity pull instead of shooting an arrow into the crowd.

This spell reduces the proximity range. If your tank (or you) happily launches an attack and people standing nearby, the pacified mobs still noticed and aggro.
