Hi everyone..I just started playing EQ2 a few weeks ago after about 3 long years of WoW, and the one thing I really miss are town raids....I currently don't play on a pvp server in EQ2, but I was wondering do people ever raid the other sides towns? Even on pve servers there were still lots of town raids in WoW (at least before the Burning Crusade expansion). This is one thing I really miss (well that and also WoW's UI is also better). I would love to see the evils storming the front gates of Qeynos. I remember the first time the horde raided Stormwind in WoW...It was an amazing sight to see like 50+ people charging through the front gates as we ran to the keep to try and protect the King (and this was on a pve server too ). Those were fun times. Anyways I was just wondering if this ever happens at all in EQ2.Anyways EQ2 has been really fun so far...It's a nice change from WoW for sure!

In EQ2 pve factions are artificial somewhat. Your guild can have both evil aligned and good aligned characters. So I don't see how they can implement the idea that you mentioned on a pve server. So in the case of such events a lot of the fights will be between the characters belonging to the same guild which is rather ridiculous.

On a pvp server there is no such concept as town raiding though you can form a group or a raid and gank soloers by the city gates =)

In the short time I played WoW, one of the things I really liked was the capability to run into a town/city and just kill anything. Alas in EQ2, the only things attackable inside a city are the guards.

On pvp servers, certainly fights can break out within city limites when a group of freeport heads to Qeynos Harbor or a Raid of Q's head to EFP. But that's dependent on the defending faction caring(Which due to the above mentioned fact that npcs are non-interactive... they often don't).

I've seen plenty of Exiled x2s enter Qeynos or Freeport... only to sit carnaged for 20 minutes while the opposite faction attempts to assemble a x4+ before they feel safe in attacking.
