With the new release changes have been made to affect classes. Was just wondering if an enchanter or crusader would be the better solo choice. I release that a crusader could survive a lot more "surprising" attacks than an enchanter would if you get jumped. But considering if an enchanter from what i've seen see's you, you are locked down if they are a good enchanter. Im looking to stay in t2 pvp for awhile and maybe go to level 20 to work on faction. Out of the two options right now im looking at either SK or Illusionist.. Side doesn't matter, just don't want to waste time/what lil money I do have on a char for it not to be good or what I'm looking for.... Defiler was another option but thats only for scourge tho... LoL so many classes to try and so little slots to do it in

There's no reason to raise faction any longer. It doesn't do anything at the top level, so just level up to 80 and ignore it totally. You won't miss out on anything. As to your other question an SK is a decent solo Pvper in theory, but PvP doesn't really work like that. You'll engage someone one on one and you're likely to win but there's a very good chance that at any time someone else will drop in and kill you. Unless you're a tracker you're not going to be solo PvPing with any great success, full stop.

The majority of my 1 v 1 fights actually never had anyone butt in. Same holds true for most of my 2 v 1 fights really. And a well played sk can handle himself against 2 other players... Not all players, or classes. Some players are just too skilled to take them on two at a time, and some classes do damage in a fashion the sk is not equipped to deal with. I'd probably say the sk is far better equipped for dealing with surprises than the chanters, since the chanters cant heal themselves, and have very little mitigation. Half the arsenal of the coercer even require that people hit them, which is rather strange for a class that has no innate healing capabilities. Chanters are furthermore rather weak in t2. And once you gain a bunch of levels, people start to learn how to fight them. Before that though, killing is easy.

If you want to be able to solo AND keep your sanity, don't ever roll an enchanter. As a matter of fact, don't roll any mage (except perhaps sorcerer). Sure. enchanters can do fairly well in 1v1 (if played well), but as Taear said - it doesn't work like that. Only now and then you will get a fair fight, and the rest of the time you will get rolled by scouts who suprise you while you're fighting mobs or full groups to whom you are nothing but a helpless token donator.

Hrmm maybe people didnt read my initial post to start this off cleary.... I said my selection has narrowed between Illusionist and SK or possibly Defiler only.... I don't know why I have these responses telling me about Coercer and palys.... I have no interest to play these classes even if they were OP like druids... So between Illusionst and SK or defiler which is the better choice for t2 and at most level 20... I have chars in different tiers which I enjoy though I need a lowbie one.. About 15 times more pvp in t2 range than t7 even... All in all it's just a fun way to waste time <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />
