Currently i'm lv 22, but i'm thinking about starting up Karana worshiping in order to get the cloak http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Cloak_of_Storms and then abadon the old sod in favor of Bertoxxulous who I think has better blessings and such, but a redundent cloak for a SK http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Cloak_of_Pestilence (isn't it the same thing as pools of blood? Plus SK have FD and evac).

Well since this is my first character I have no idea how big of a time sink this'll be, but i'm prepared to spend a few weeks grinding Bertoxxulous favor after I make the switch if thats what i'll take. That is assuming one thing of course, that while i'm leveling from 70-80 I wont find a similar or better cloak than the Karana one. So thats the main thing i'd like to know. At 80, for a non uber guilded SK how easy is it to find a cloak thats similar or better for a SK trying to max their DPS?

The Zek cloak is better and all you need to do for it is kill 25 vampires.

I think Karana got changed and is a "good" god now.

Way I heard it, he was going to be a good god for most of the development, then got switched to neutral after it was pointed out that there were not really any healer-oriented gods that evil could use, and that it would make no sense for both druid gods to be good, as druids are the neutral healer class.

I am a brigand and I worship Karana (without living in exile) so he is indeed a neutral god.

I think Karana is a good choice for those who want a god with some uses, but not the cookie cutter 'best' diety. When considering a diety I sometimes prefer to give my character abilities he wouldnt normally have rather than improve the abilities that he does have. (like a brigand with a group rez for instance)
