Alright I am not sure if I should post this at PVP forum or Coercer forum but here goes.My charm, when examined says it DOES charm the target even in PVP.BUT when I actually cast the spell it acts more like a stun that makes the target immune to damage for the duration. None of my pet list commands work even tho the pet command bar pops up after I charm my opponent.I did this on several players more than once and even tho I get the warning on break/pet command bar I still cant command the player to attack nearby creatures (obviously the goal as its basically the only way to damage them while theyre charmed)Am I right in thinking that the charm commands are purposely nerfed or am I doing something wrong?Does anyone have any examples of charm used on the front in PVP to any good use or am I waisting my time trying to use it regardless of its nearly impossible cast time? and yeah again...why cant I command them when it finally goes through?

Charmed players will defend you when you are attacked.

Unless they fixed this since ROK, charming players is unfeasible in EQ2 PvP.

Unfeasilble due to the 5 second cast time and fact that if it doesn't resist, you get the pet for a maximum of what seems to be around 10 seconds, but usually 1-2 seconds.

I have never personally confirmed that the PC charmed new pet defends you. My coercer was always dead at this point if I tried it... even on test lol.

Charming is done better by bards IMO even though coercers are supposed ot be the masters of it. SoE apparently feel the ability to be potentially too powerful to implement a proper system.

Stay in a group and you will always do well in PvE and PvP as a coercer - fact

Well I certainly wouldnt use my pet as an illusionist if I couldnt command it, it only lasted 1-10 seconds, only attacked targets that attacked me, and took a 5 second cast time that required me to be in casting range of my enemy....GOSH GOLLY. Guess I am done trying to charm players.

The only charm worth casting in pvp is the one you get as an AA endline skill.

I haven't bothered with charming players for a long time now, but I do recall being able to give players commands like attack or follow me. That being said, charm has a huge cast time, gets resisted a lot, and in T7/T8 lasts a maximum of ~15-20 seconds, usually much less. Charming mobs in PvP is much more effective, especially when solo
