I've been away from the game for a while and recently came back, saw the new expansions and decided to give it a go.

I created a new toon based out of Neriak and another based out of Timorous Deep. When I ebentually got them to where they could get their starter rooms, I noticed they couldn't upgrade their walls/floors/etc.

Now, this could be a bug, in which case I may be posting this in the wrong place (and still might even if it's not a bug lol) but on the off chance it's not a bug, why can't we make the same type of changes we can make in our FP and Qeynos homes?

Are the more expensive homes in these places the same way?

Are there plans to change things so we can do so in the future?

Thanks

not a bug. currently WAI and a lot of people are upset about it. The houses in Gorowyn are the same in case you are wondering. Only Qeynos and Freeport allow their citizens to modify the walls/ceilings/floors of their houses.

It has been asked to be fixed several times and we still have no official word if this is even a blip on their radar.

Honestly, I have a five room house in neriak and it rocks for size and vendor slots, but the fact you cant change it at all blows. /agree Big disapointment.

Just an opinion:I am of the mind that the housing in Neriak, Kelethin, and Gorowyn are designed to reflect a cultural (perhaps racial?) esthetic, whereas Qeynos and Freeport have admitted that their housing is slapped together in a big hurry to accommodate the huge influx of new residents. Antonia Bayle takes the pains to at least offer a utilitarian presentability to her 'projects', whereas Lucan is just hurriedly shoving people into the first available sardine can - but in either case, the understanding is there that there is room for improvement, even in the stately inner city of Qeynos or the iron-shod city quarters of Freeport. The authorities in the other cities have fostered a 'look' that is culturally (and to many) esthetically adequate.Mind you, I understand the annoyance over the issue - I won't deny I tried to upgrade the wall in my first Gorowyn house. But next to other issues that are more than slightly more infuriating to me, I'm willing to wait to see this one resolved.

I love my house in Neriak---the colour scheme is great. My one complaint is that all my L&L trophies get completely lost against the stone wall pattern. Can only see a few of them that stand out. What about a trophy board, where we can mount and ooh and aah at our rewards?
