I played Vox since PvP was launched in EQ2. Once upon a time, it too was a haven for pvp.

A week ago, after 2 hours of T5 zone hunting with track on, I finally realized how DEAD Vox really has become. I found 2 Qs in 2 hours within about 5 full T5 zones. That is ridiculous.

I have been fighting for Vox for some time now, trying to attract more players to it, but to no avail. I realized there is a reason people play Nagafen so I rolled a toon there and checked it out.

All of my hard work and attention to my toons on Vox has lead me to a dead end.

I immediately felt the life on Nagafen. Vox barely has a heart beat, I dont know why its still open as a server. I hear Venekor is almost as bad as Vox.

Nagafen, everywhere I went was full of player life! Im on Nagafen now, starting over, but the restart is refreshing and fun. I look forward to not having to spend a couple hours just to find 1 fight.

I can see by every zone I have went in and every chat channel I have stepped into on my chat bar that pvp is non stop and constant on Nagafen and this has really put new drive into my game.

I used to cherish the low population, but its so low now I cant even find anyone to do an HQ with or hunt Qs with. Who wants to hunt Qs below lvl 70 anymore on Vox? No one and even in T8 the pvp is reducing by the day.

I am done wasting my time on a dead end server and I highly recommend the pvp servers get merged into ONE pvp server. Nagafen wouldnt even notice the small change in population if it absorbed the other 2 pvp servers.

Farmers/Bots dont even bother with Vox anymore!

There is no feeling like one day logging in and realizing your world is in its death throws through no fault of your own. You have to make a choice, die with your server or hit up a parallel universe (aka other server).

Stop playing in denial!

I cannot control my vocabulary!

Merge the servers with Station Exchange and you've probably banned half the playerbase already.

Venekor already had to merge with the European servers, many of which don't want to RP.

Many players on Venekor don't want to merge with Nagafen.

Merging all the PVP servers will only give us never ending lag.

While Venekor is low population, it's not dead.

Station Exchange characters are not permitted to move outside of a Station Exchange server.

It's not going to happen anyway, so no point in discussing it.

If you want to play on another server you're welcome to do so, that doesn't mean that servers should be merged, it means you either have to pay 50$ for a character transfer or cut your loses and start over. Since I'm pretty sure that the agreement for Station Exchange prohibits character transfer, I guess you're out of luck.

What he said. While you may not have taken advantage of the option to buy gear, characters and plat for RLF.. you agreed to the terms when you rolled your character on Vox.Reroll on one of the other servers if you're unhappy. I'm not happy with a few of the college courses I chose years ago.. but I guarantee they're not going to just adjust my transcripts per my request and disappointment. I suspect they'll say "go back and take the courses you wish you would have taken" instead.Requesting an impact to the existing communities because you made a bad decision is extremely self centered.

If Vox was not station exchange I'd agree on merging it with venekor... sadly it is... And you have 3 choices

Underpopulated station exchange

Underpopulated

Overppopulated

Not a PvP slaughter house with no end. I like PvP, but I don't like being neck and neck with Qs AND Freepsno matter what my faction is.

I want to merge Venekor and Vox for sure...but I don't want anyone to have to merge with Nagafen. Most players don't want that. And if SoE would listen to the player base every once in a while when it came to balancing classes...maybe PvP wouldn't be such a joke. EQ2 PvP wouldn't be an oxy-[Removed for Content]...or however it's spelled.

Welcome to Naggy, i made this decision myself about 6 months ago, and while i miss my vox toon, that and the people that i knew there are the only things i miss about it. The scanning BS for hours killing the same five people over and over again was just ridiculous. Now Nagafen will have its down times, and sometimes the pvp does lull here, but for the most part you can find a fight if you look for it. It may be against a group, but still.

Enlocke@Vox wrote:

I want to merge Venekor and Vox for sure...

Not going to happen. There are people on Vox that have spent more than $1000 real life money for their characters, equipment or plat. There is absolutely no way that Sony could initiate such a merger without losing a fortune by refunding people for their Exchange purchases.

Well said Myxzptlk!

So many of the masses of players on Vox and Venekor dont know what they are missing out on.

And come on, people! I do not believe for a moment that there is more plat/gear buying with cash on Vox than on Nagafen. Besides, only US resident accounts are accountable to Station Exchange, since they are the only ones who can use it.

Nagafen has one of the greatest populations of all servers and has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, real cash for in game stuff exchange rate. That hasnt stopped it from blossoming into the kick [Removed for Content] server it is.

Station Exchange on Vox is a joke. Vox as a server is almost dead. T8 is only the place to be on that server and its population is declining rapidly.

Many Vox players have learned this or are learning it and they reroll on Nagafen.

If I wanted, I could buy a toon on Nagafen or plat or gear! Station Exchange is not needed for this and everyone knows it. But, Im not about too because that kills my toon love and I do cherish toons I work hard to gear out myself.

Allowing transfers from Vox is not going to ruin anything, Venekor and Nagafen and all non-SE servers are ripe with toons that were bought and plat that was farmed and sold to other players. Pretending that is not true is like saying the sky is not ever blue. Denial, its what keeps people in the dark.

But, don't state that "everyone else is breaking the rules so it shouldn't be a problem". We, on Nag and Ven, would prefer that players with such scruples stay off our servers.

Welcome to Nagafen. =P And no, its not overpopulated.Vox is a SE server. People who roll there do so knowing full well (or should learn quickly) that they do not get to transfer off. I like the fact that there are 2 choices for people; Venekor and Nagafen. They get to choose whether they want to PvP on a high pop or low pop server. Since server transfers are enabled between them, then if someone changes their mind, they can move. Thats what I did. I love the peeps on Venekor, but I grew disenchanted with the low population.Spyderbite, your repetitive "quality over quantity" insult is growing old. I understand that you don't want the servers merged, neither do I. But please refrain from insulting others whenever mergers are mentioned.I have played on both servers, and not just for 20 levels or so. I've played them in all tiers. I've yet to level a toon to T7 on both, but am very close. =P Both servers have people that seem intent on ruining other peeps game play. Both servers also have very good people who will help you when they have nothing to gain from it. I agree that the servers should not be merged unless there comes a point when both servers are consistently low pop, and I don't see that happening.

Jeeze since Rok, T6-8 pvp on vox has been terrific. Almost more then I can deal with. I understand that T2 pvp is going pretty stong. Sure there is a problem with a lack of pvp in the t3-t5 range, but I understand that is a problem on all servers. People just dont generally hang out at say lvl 37, for any length of time. Rather if you are not locking at t2 your going to t8. So, I think the knocks against vox are presently misplaced. Presently there is plenty of action at high and low lvls. Now will it stay like that? Well if i could read the furture I would be playing the lotto.

Although based on TOS issues I don`t see a solution for people on Vox , I agree with the OP about merging servers. At least the ones that can be merged.A heavily populated server may increase performance issues , there are plenty of those now since the GU , butit makes pvp 100% better having alot of participants.Probably the thinest pvp population in a game so far for me and I play on Nagafen , can`t imagine what Vox is like.I wish that Nagafen was the only pvp server to be honest.

I recently started playing about 2 months ago and decided to play on Vox because my brother plays here, I rolled a character and didnt have too much of a problem until I hit 20+. The only 'group' I was ever able to get was my brother mentoring me, joy.. well it worked for awhile and he was able to help get me to 60..then kunark comes out, hes out doing the whole 70+ thing with the few other players left on vox, and now I just solo if I can bring myself to, and run around collecting shinies, because.. well.. lets face it, there IS NOONE TO GROUP WITH 20-70 ON VOX!! let me spell that out for anyone who doesnt understandT-H-E-R-E I-S N-O O-N-E T-O G-R-O-U-P W-I-T-H 20-70Ive been sitting idle in EFP all day LFG, and I could probably sit there like that for days until some level 70+ takes pity on me and decides to mentor me.. well guess what? its starting to wear thin.. Its come to the point where im either going to reroll on a different server or quit.. and starting over somewhere all over again with no friends doesnt exactly sound like something I want to do, let alone PAY for.you server is broken. fix it.

Nagafen will have its good players, but from my experience playing there, the server's population is more... imature... than Venekor's. No, I'm not just talking about the 10-19 chat, as the people in that channel are almost always a pack of morons...

If you want to play on Nagafen, I stronly urge you to turn ALL the chat channels off and just play the game with guild-chat... If you want a friendly community (which is by absolutely no means dead) then you want Venekor.
